Due to my absence from the Boards for the past few weeks, I haven’t uploaded a MOC in a while, so I decided to post the changes to my Self MOC. So without further ado, I present to you: Colrar the Grim Reaper V3
One criticism I received was that, from behind, his cloak looked like someone putting a sheet over themselves. I tried to fix that and think I more or less succeeded
I really like the color scheme and distribution, and the build is very creative and fun. The cloak wraps around him very well, and the mask doesn’t look as lame as it does on the Skull Villain sets, it actually looks kind of… cool. I think the scythe is interesting, and that the MOC is overall fairly solid.
One issue I do have with the MOC is the white pieces. The color scheme is very solid, but the silver and white really doesn’t mix as well as silver and orange, or, for the sake of argument, silver and blue. I would personally replace the white pieces, but other than that, I really like the MOC (though admittedly I’m not a massive fan of the lower leg design).
@pizzacheetah The white was meant to make it look like he has bone coming out of his body, either his or enemies, but yeah I can see how the look failed
He was actually built with his proportions based off of Megatron from the first live action film. The chain then, inadvertently, looked like the one he has in Dark of the Moon to keep his body together
The scythe is super spindly and unimpressive. The MOC is actually quite good on the other hand, but the forward facing gauntlets make my soul cry in agony.
…which is unusual because I’m the grim reaper. And don’t have a soul.
