I am wondering was there ever a way that was described to explain how beings with shadow/darkness powers avoided being blinded by shadows/darkness? I am wondering this because if they didn’t posses something like that the they would be blinded by their own attacks. Even if they were outside the shadows/darkness surrounding their enemies they would still need a way to detect their opponents otherwise how could they accurately attack them from a distance?

It’s possible that they just have very good senses. It’s also possible that they have some sort of darkvision, or that they do lose their sight in the dark and just guesstimate where their opponents should be using their intellect. Whatever the case, it couldn’t be something like echolocation that would negate the Phantoka requiring Kra-Matoran on their backs when they went blind.

Depends on the creature I’m guessing. Were there any in particular you were thinking of? Or were you thinking of named characters, like Teridax?

Any creature is fine but somebody with elemental shadow powers like Teridax is better. After all toa of plasma are resistant to the brightness of their element and even toa of sonics despite having sensitive hearing are more tolerant of their elemental power than they used to be so something like that should apply to shadow elemental power users as well so they don’t get blinded.
