Shatter: Patient Traitor

Much like Siege, this guy is 99% pieces that were available in 2005(red axles and blue pins notwithstanding).

Hailing from the same frigid wasteland as the Shadowed One, Sarkyek would live through the chaos and anarchy that the Shadowed One and Ancient brought upon their home with the founding of the Dark Hunters. It was during this time that Sarkyek would discover that he can create vibrations, and soon went about using these powers to battle his way through his war-torn homeland, hoping to end the lives of the two responsible for the chaos and destruction. This quest would prove fruitless however as by the time Sarkyek had reached the duo’s original base, they had already set off to find a more permanent base.

For the next millennium, Sarkyek would travel throughout the Matoran Universe, hiring out his services to various warlords, starting out as a bodyguard and enforcer, before eventually moving on to assassinations. This activity would have a profound effect; it would bring Sarkyek to the Shadowed One’s attention. Dispatching agents to find Sarkyek, they would track him down to an abandoned Makuta fortress being occupied by a Skakdi warlord. After dispatching the warlord, the dark hunters would wait for hours until Sarkyek’s return, at which point they would apprehend him and take him back to Odina.

Upon being awoken, Sarkyek would be placed through the standard physical trials all Dark Hunters go through, something made easier by his vibration powers. After many grueling hours of nonstop combat, Sarkyek would eventually be brought before the shadowed one, who upon seeing Sarkyek would attempt to attack, an action which would lead to him suffering a grievous injury to his head. Deciding to overlook this attempt on his life, the Shadowed One would arrange to have Sarkyek’s injury tended to. Sarkyek would attempt to attack the Shadowed One again after awaking from his injuries, only to be quickly put in his place by the Shadowed One, who explained what had happened and why Sarkyek would be best off abandoning his vendetta.

Now going by the codename Shatter, he would be partnered with the much more loyal Dark Hunter Siege, and would be forced to accompany him on many missions and jobs which required Sieges less violent impulses, something which proved immensely restricting to Shatter. This would remain the case for much of the time the duo worked together, but events in the City of Legends would change the situation in a way more befitting Shatters destructive abilities. The Shadowed One would declare war on the Brotherhood of Makuta, and soon enough Shatter would find himself performing guerilla style attacks on Visorak, Rahkshi, and Exo-toa patrols, making full use of his vibration powers to reduce entire squads into scrap metal and liquified organic tissue.

When the Order of Mata-Nui revealed itself and the Shadowed One forged an alliance with them, Shatter would take the opportunity to escape the supervision of his partner and made his way to the Northern Continent, spending the conflict hiding out in an abandoned Matoran village. When the war came to an end and Teridax revealed his takeover of the Matoran Universe, Shatter came to view the change in landscape as an opportunity to carry out his revenge on the Shadowed One and Ancient. Shatter chose to make his way to Xia, where the Dark Hunters had relocated due to Odina being overrun by Rahkshi. His attempt to reach Xia would be interrupted by a group of Skakdi warriors who accused him of being an agent of Teridax. Shatter would remain their prisoner for much of Teridax’s rule, but would manage to escape his captors when the Matoran Universe was evacuated following Teridax’s defeat.

Following his migration to Spherus Magna, Shatter would spend some time wandering the great desert before being discovered by a group of Bune Hunters who took the exhausted warrior captive with the intent of selling him to the Shadowed One, with whom they had formed an alliance with. Upon being given to the Shadowed one, Shatter would be locked away as knowledge of his inaction during the Destiny War would be brought to the Shadowed One’s attention.

Traits and Abilities: If there is one trait which can describe Shatter without much doubt is patience; Shatter is not opposed to playing the long game when it comes to achieving his goals. He is also not afraid to present himself as a cowardly or submissive individual so long as it can serve his purposes. The single driving factor in Shatter’s life is his desire to one day take the life of the Shadowed One and Ancient for the chaos they brought upon their homeland. With that said there is one thing he shares with the two; a love of combat and a loyalty to his paycheck. So long as it can provide Shatter an opportunity to engage in combat or achieve some financial gain, Shatter will gladly take it without much thought.

Shatter is capable of creating powerful vibrations that when focused in a single area is able to shatter stone, force metal objects to fall apart and liquify organic material. Shatter is able to channel his abilities through his two-pronged staff. He can also focus his vibration abilities in kanoka disks, causing them to explode upon impact. Shatter also possesses a club on his tail and sharp claws.
