I can’t decide whether or not I should take apart my new bionicle sets for pieces or keep them together. I have no problem scraping HF sets but I told myself when I bought them that I would keep the bionicle sets together. I now have all of them and they’re all on display, but the mocing potential is so tempting. What do you guys think? Also If this should be in a different category, tell me how to move it and I will.

I’ve completely disassembled Onua and Lewa for parts, but that’s just me.

Well, If you know you are gonna use the parts frequently and are gonna enhance your future MOC’s, I’d say go for it honestly. But if you’re like me and just like playing with them or doing stop motion, defo keep 'em together.

Did you take Bionicles apart when it was around? If so take it apart don’t try to force you’re self to be a collector when you’re a Mocist.

Completely up to you. If you prefer to keep the sets on display, then do so. If you want to use the parts for MoCing purposes then scrap 'em. Either way, it is your decision.

If you have enough money, buy doubles of all of them, keep one of each of them together, and use the other for parts for MoCs. I am a collector as well as a MoCist, but I eventually take everything apart (that is Bionicle). When people ask me what sets I have, I usually have none of them put together, but I still have them and tell others “these are the sets I have.” Then I rattle off all the names and show pictures, or something like that.
Besides, you can always rebuild them after you’re done with a MoC.

They’ve got some great pieces to MOC with. I’d suggest you go for it.
what I mean by my comment (that someone deleted for some reason -_-) was, if you already told yourself you would dissemble them, then don’t, or just buy duplicates, my suggestion, that’s all

I usually don’t take apart my sets for years. Some sets I only take apart for pieces or broken pieces. But I still got me and my bro’s Toa Inika built, and we still have not taken them apart, nor do we have the piraka taken apart.
However, that’s some of the earlier sets. After the 2007 era, we began using a lot of them for pieces. I definitely won’t be taking apart the new sets anytime soon.
Unless we get the skull villains. I’m sure we’ll take those apart for MOCs. 
all my sets i have are scraped but i only have 2 LoSS and PoJ
All of my 2015 sets are scrapped at this moment (that’s 4 of them)
