The sound doesn’t change volume as they continue to move. Rustling corn can be heard; first to the left, then up ahead. They come across a three way fork in the path.
IC: David moves to take the lead, or a leading position again, looking around with a very disquieted demeanor. He keeps looking around to and fro, as if trying to catch sight of the thing that is following them.
“Stupid frakking thing. Why is it taking us so long to find the exit? What, did it disappear or something…?”
He shuts up and keeps walking, but keeps a careful eye on their surroundings.
IC: David shrugs, and kicks at some stalks. “No idea. Maybe we should try making a controlled fire, like a fire pit or something. Perhaps whatever is keeping us in here will let others in. At least we might get some more equipped civilians here, or maybe some responders.” He shrugs.
IC: David shrugs. “Given we’ve walked more distance than the maze should realistically have, and found nothing, it would be less painful than starving to death. Though that was not really my intention…I’m not high on ideas right now.”
“so after, what, an hour of walking in a corn field you want to burn it down.” Bailey sighs “it’s a corn field. They’re big. We might strayed from the path and got lost. Maybe not. Well make it our, just give it some time.”
IC: “Wonder what she’s been doing for the past few hours then,” David deadpans. “Whittling wood sculptures, or perhaps practicing whistling? Or generally not being here.”
