Strange/ridiculous things that you thought were true when you were young

i used to Believe Boston was the name of one of the islands that make up new york city until two Days ago. i blame being from Scandinavia for my ignorance of North american geography

i used to think indiana = india
i have cousins in indiana, so i told lots of people that i had cousins in india
i looked a lot more asian as a small child, so no one questioned it

I used to think that there were still dinosaurs on Australia, and that’s why no one ever went there.

As a kid I always thought burglars were constantly looking at me through windows at night. When I looked at the windows nobody was there.

This started when a guy actually did this to our family while eating dinner and a cop eventually caught the guy. Needless to say, I still get anxious at night about burglars.

I used to think that Lord of the Rings was about a ring master in a circus.

I used to think that Teridax and Makuta were different people.

Anyway, back on topic…uhh…My brother thought each state was a separate country, and that we were immigrants when we moved from Idaho to Nevada.

I always read the Disney logo as “Walp Gisnep” as a kid (I thought the D was a G backwards).

Then I discovered the “G” was actually a D.
