Tahu the Destroyer (What if?)

This elemental Lord version of the Uniter of fire was taken control of by umarak and some well planned mind control. his known abilities allow him to control wildfires and rule over the lava beasts he also has a very rare skill in fighting in the air

oh yeah… funny story with that one this is part of a larger animated universe you know multiple storylines from different lego brands interceding and some fan made brands as well i really dont expect most of you to understand it…

also… look again this set is taller than the traditional version that is why the 1st image is a comparison showing the height difference between tahu uniter and tahu destroyer you need to look deeper…

yeah i already know as i heard it enough times and besides if people are going to point out the obvious then i am more than likley going to say somthing

Idk it looks very cluttered and the silver just looks off, as if Tahu didn’t have enough colors already.

clearly you didnt read the description correctly he was taken over by umarak and it caused his body to mutate thus making him taller and make sure your looking at the right set please… the one with the nix hero factory mask is just a height comparison

Well, i would give him less gold and more black. That would complete the ‘Destroyer’ look for me.

Even with the description “explaining” the flaws it still looks too cluttered, there are other ways to show corruption and mutation without it looking unappealing.

Btw you might want to reply directly the person you are talking to, if you reply to your topic alone the user will never get the notif.

Really, really cluttered. There is consistent texturing or anything, and he just looks like a huge mess. Also, not much has really changed from the original set from a design perspective, so I guess I’m not really feeling it, y’know?

But keep trying, I like what you’re trying to go for here.

this is why i dont even bother, every time i post somthing it just gets shot down…

What’s wrong with good, valid critique?

when it becomes repetitve and in honest opinion annoying i am limited by what i am stuck with i cant just go and get 30 of the same set and buld some ungodly contraption that virtually no one will care about and obviously this is just another example

it seems like nothing has really changed from the unity tahu, the colors don’t work that well, and it looks a little slapped together

Indeed. @KingboyAnimat77, we expect you to treat other users with respect, not to fling put-downs at them.

well you need to look again because i see a taller set with low leg back armor secondary blades on ikir major armor adjustments hand adjustments post production edits lighting enviroment adjustments and overall aesthetic adjustments that would essentially make this set taller than all of the 2015 series and a good 80% of the Winter and Summer wave of 2016 yeah you totally looked…

I’m not going to continue this argument, so Ill end with this. you need to be able to accept what others say, or just don’t respond to it, simple as that, you don’t have to defend your work as hostile as possible, its an ok moc, its jut that the build seems very basic, and I’m not a fan of the color scheme. but if you act hostilely to those who want you to get better, than people will look at you and your mocs in a worse light.
-rant over, I’m done with this-

While they are a lot of changes they end up just being slapped on pieces or switched out pieces.

Imma use an example of a mutation that added stuff wothout lookign like just slapped on parts: Umarak The Destroyer.

It had enough of his previous incarnation to tell they are the same but with completely new stuff.

What I see here and others might is just a Tahu with not too impressive changes, I get that you have limited pieces and all, but that’s essentially what this is, a Tahu with an awkard color scheme and random pieces attached.

Wether you choose to take the criticism in good will and try and improve this MoC is your choice, but if you don’t want too hear our opinions then why post a MOC?

Well, I would critique the moc,
but for one it’s too cluttered to pick anything out, or perhaps it’s the lack of lighting making it hard to see,

Actually, that’s a pretty good description.

Oh, and the obligatory “story doesn’t excuse the flaws.”

It’s very much the same as Tahu 2016.
