As Karl disentangled himself from the remains of the tentacle, he realized that he’d missed the last few minutes of action. A dripping Dolphus was being hauled aboard, followed by Mariner and Mako. Alexis had arrived, and was clearly concerned by the kid’s condition.
He’d better be all right, he thought. He has to be alive…
He turned towards the group now gathering by the rail.
“Is he all right? You, with the bandages, is the kid all right?”
