Alexis needed to pick up the pace, she was still a ways off from the group. The particularly large one, Ari had made quite the mess of the forests foliage. It was just enough for Alexis to get a general idea of where she was heading, but the constant need to stop and make sure she was going the right way was getting tiresome. During one of the pauses she stopped to try out something revolutionary, Think ahead.
Provided the soldier got away their entire mission could go awry, they needed someone skilled to fix the Caelin’s hand, and due to that they couldn’t really pick and choose. If word of a crew, flying Armada military regalia attacking their own made it out to whoever was stationed on this island they could be labeled as spies or deserters. As much as it perturbed Alexis in having to dispatch an innocent soldier, it might’ve been a good call to attack him without any hesitation.
“Gods what did I do to deserve this?” Alexis cursed as she scan the nearby forest for the wreck of foliage no doubt left in the wake of this frantic chase. Spotting the vague path she resumed her trek, a slight fire starting to alight in her hands as she considered what they would need to do next in the event of the soldier getting away. ”a forest fire could cause quite a distraction, but on the other hand would severely limit our resources.”
Alexis let another curse fly, this thinking ahead thing was getting annoying.
