Mariner tilts his head, wondering after the answer. “His life will be… Difficult from now on. With a trained doctor, he may recover completely, but I am no doctor, nor am I capable of the Magic he requires to set his back again.” He pauses and ponders. “Excessive cruelty is not a quality the Armada looks for in their Captains, Dolphus. Even towards their enemies, mercy is a virtue oft looked down upon in today’s age, but it should not be.”
As Karl arrived back at his cabin, he may have noted the door slightly ajar, and a lamp lit just beside his bed.
