This has got to be one of the cutest Lego sets ever. I bought it for the parts, but now I don’t even want to disassemble it anymore… Such a derpy and adorable creature.
This is my first time having paper bags, pretty cool to see those after being announced like 5 years ago? The B and C model instructions are made of thinner matte paper too, only the main booklet has the usual glossy finish.
That set’s great! I was given two last year, for whatever reason, and it was a really fun challenge to try and combine them both into one bigger dragon.
…A custom of Strike from the recent Ninjago: Strike of the Serpentine graphic novel, made from Pythor, Chop’rai, and the scarf of an elven bard. Pythor got a bit of the short end of the stick, since Strike stole his torso and tail, leaving him with Chop’rai’s.
I’m happy to finally have Nokama’s figure, even if she is practically a statue, since she’s one of my favorite Bionicle characters. Gravis was just a nice bonus–I’ve got no particular attachment to him, but it’s nice to flesh out my Elemental Master collection.
What do you think of the set? I’ve heard good things about it.
That tuxedo cat looks slightly affronted (perhaps at some unknown slight?). The orange cat, though, just looks adorably surprised (or curious, I suppose).
@Ninjoshell It was the Elf Bard’s scarf from the D&D Minifigure Series. It’s not a perfect fit piece-wise, and it does make her headpiece feel very loosely-attached, but it’s the best I could do, since the more prominent LEGO scarf piece has never come in purple-ish colors.
Today, a D&D graphic novel I got finally arrived. I’ve previously read the great D&D: Fell’s Five series from IDW, so I’m looking forward to this, especially since the author is one of the players of a five-year-old D&D Actual Play series I’m currently listening to.
Dang, I recently came across some heavily weaponized CCBS dinosaurs, but I’ve never seen those before. Definitely some of the most unique designs I’ve seen in a long time. Is there any name attached to them, or are they unbranded?
Forgot to post these days ago, but it took almost 3 weeks to finally getting them together well at least I almost done with getting all the Disney Animation movies.
I wanted to make this post last month, but the copy of Metal cardbot Tachy I ordered has been stuck in shipping hell for the past month (US customs suck at their jobs). Tracking says she will finally arrive this Friday, but we will see. I will update when she gets here, but for now, here is the stuff I have got: Starting with a Hibiki Tachibana Statue:
I had to sand down some of the connection points to get this figure to go together, but it was worth it. Also, the company that produced this figure has a stupid name (Who names their toy/figure company “System Service”???)
Next: and Acrylic Standee of Dark Magician Girl from Etsy:
My lighting makes it look brighter in the photo then in person. and yes, the molding is a little rough, but it works for the Moc I intend to use it for (If I ever get around to building it).
But that figure holding it… that’s the real star of the show, Because after at least a year and a half of waiting… My Toy Rise Genesic GaoGaiGar has finally arrived!
