The Bionicle G1/G2 Connection Theory Topic

That’s the point I made. :stuck_out_tongue:

Actually, the lore says they came when the stars aligned, not that they came from different planets.

Well, from the Prophecy written on the wall, it looks more like they came from the planets…

Looks like, yes, but it’s not a stated fact.

Well, the Toa being Hero Factory heroes isn’t stated either, but hey, people think that way anyways. I just have reasons to not believe it, and if these animations are supposed to be visuals, isn’t it open for interpretation?

Just mentioning it. If it’s already been said, just ignore it

My theory is that the planet Okoto is on was a planet the Great Spirit Robot was observing before he fell ill. While observing the planet, Mata Nui saw that the inhabitants were in danger, so he sent the Toa Mata and a Makuta to help them. When the Toa and the Makuta were done saving the island of Okoto they showed the protectors how to make masks, including the Vahi. The Toa told the islanders, When times are dark use the mask of time to summon the Toa to your aid. The islanders took this as the Toa Mata would come to help them, when in fact a new Toa team, that was designed for Okoto, would be sent. The islanders also named the the island’s mask maker “Makuta” after the being that also helped them.

but then

what of Ekimu?

That would mean… That the brown guy might not be named Pohato!
Dun dun dun…

Ekimu is probably the second son. Makuta’s (G2) younger brother.

Ekimu is Artahka

Considering this, I think this will be just a new island that shares similarities to Mata Nui.

But, also, I thought of a way G1 and G2 could connect, even if they most likely won’t. Possibly, and very unlikely, when the toa Mata were being trained, part of it was that being placed in an alternate dimension or a simulation to see they truly will fight to save all, but, of course, they’ll have their memories wiped.

This is very irrelevant to the topic, and belongs on the 2016 thread.

Um… who are you replying to?

It appears to have been deleted, however there was a post about a theory involving Umarak in a video, however had nothing to do with any G1-G2 theories, at all.

Perhaps Okoto has been hit by a natural catastophy resulting in the island ‘splitting’ apart and reshaping to something that closely resembles Mata nui? It sounds a little bit far fetched and there are much more interesting theories out there, but who knows? I definitely don’t think it’s a placeholder, but we’ll see once the finalized, official pictures, are released.

What if the Toa have to travel back and forth through time between Okoto and Mata-nui, but to do so they must unite with the creatures to be powerful enough for the trip? It does seem like ‘time’ is a big deal this generation.

What if Okoto is really Daxia, with the City of the Mask Maker being the Order’s base, but abandoned so it could be used in the training. Perhaps the Toa’s quest is really just training. The Skull Spiders and LOSS are beings created by the Order to serve as enemies for the Toa to train against, and so are the Skull enemies. Throughout the many Bionicle Shorts taking place on Okoto, there has been a kanohi Vahi hidden through out. If I am correct, it was never truly said HOW long ago the Toa Mata were trained and how long they were in the canisters before being called upon. For all we know, Okoto is what Daxia looked like, perhaps chunks of it fell into the ocean later on throughout time. Ekimu might actually be Hydraxon, the Toa’s trainer, in disguise, and the Protectors might be other members of the Order. Sure, that could be disproven as there are also non-Protector villagers on Okto, and Order wasn’t so big so they surely couldn’t be diguised. But, if you’ve noticed, the Toa don’t really run into any villagers. The only time we see them is when the Toa hadn’t landed on Okoto. They don’t know that they are merely being trained.

So, what do you think of my theory?

Honestly, I would absolutely hate it if they made the ENTIRE G2 story just a “test” for the Toa. If we learn that there was no real danger and everything was essentially a simulation, it would ruin the entire story for me. They might as well make it all just a nightmare that Tahu had one night. :stuck_out_tongue:

According to the book, Onua spoke to an elder.

And Tahu ran into a ton of villagers when he first arrived. (including that kid)

And Pohatu met Bingzak
