This topic is about Bionicle gen 2 ideas and rants (not Theories and Analysis) , you can just come up with whatever ideas you want about where Bionicle is heading toward. You can rant about whatever you think about the new line. This topic is not to replace Theories and Analysis instead it is to for those who are not serious about proving theories. Instead this topic is for those who have their own ideas and want to talk it through without having real evedence.

I think the Toa’s remind me of greek gods in a sense. I mean the protectors sent their prayers to the sky, but why? I think that it is because they summon the Toa that way. The toa’s fell and where as powerful as a protector but when they have their golden masks they become super powerful. I remember that the golden masks are only for those worthy to possess them and the Toa were already worthy and were gifted with immense powers. The toa also have gold and silver on them in some fashion which makes them seem powerful, but also that the toa’s are taller than the protectors and even Ekimu makes them more like deity’s.

Makuta isn’t Skull Grinder people! I mean, c’mon. Do you guys seriously think that LEGO would do something that downgrades Makuta and brings him in that early? Lego knows what they’re doing. They want to make Makuta mysterious and save him for the end, like the original. What caught everyone’s attention to Makuta was how he hid in the shadows until the final confrontations, revealing his plan to be set in motion by the actions of the Toa and other heroes.
Honestly, I don’t think Makuta would reveal himself this early. Perhaps at the end of this year we see him as the “Mask Hoarder” (or whatever they’ll call him) and then we see how his plan kept going along, but for now I don’t think Skull Grinder is Makuta. Makuta should NOT be a throw-away villain! We were introduced to him with Ekimu, and both so far have major roles in the story. No doubt both will still be in use!

I really am not a fan of just how little the Skull Spiders seem to have been used in the story. I mean, I don’t think they’ve taken over a Toa or Protector once! Isn’t that supposed to be their main gimmick?

Well, we’ll have to see in the books. The animations cut out a lot of stuff that happened between the arrivals and the retrieving of the masks (according to the animations, it took them weeks to find the masks! Who knows what happens then?)

What annoys me the most is that people go and make a bunch of “theories” about the BIONICLE gen2 story without evidence, and when they give evidence, it’s often misinterpreted or misused.

What annoys me about the official canon is that the Skull Villain’s all wear masks… they are not actually referred to as skulls despite the appearance. Granted they could be other’s skulls that they wear to cover up their own skull faces, but that would just be convoluted and rather silly.

They’re like voodoo people, where they wear animal skulls as masks (basher’s “bull” mask) for decorative/religious purposes.

I suppose, but when you are an ancient skeletal warrior and every other part of you already looks skeletal, I don’t understand then putting on a mask that looks like a skull. If you’re face is a skull, why put on another skull over that skull 
I get the tribal idea, its just not sure how/if that would apply to actual skeletons also.

I don’t like the way the new story has went in Year 1, mainly because very powerful mask has already been obtained. It’s just not the same buildup nor mystery that the Mask of Life had.

Yeah I remember when people thought that LoSS was Makuta, Now they think Skull Grinder is… whats next Ekimu is really Keetongu? I mean how do you make Makuta a spider and now some generic villain that shares a mask with another generic villain set?
Oh and dont forget that there will be no bohrok because we already have skull spiders that are like the gen 1 krana. I seriously don’t know how people come up with this stuff?
Also there is build up. The mask of creation isn’t the most powerful mask, the MoUP is. With that I think that the build up will be to get the mask of ultimate power.
…Oh and Kopaka is Bionicle’s Captian America!

Hm…I’ve already complained about the story…and I argued my problems with the sets with Kahi already…wait, I know, the music!
Yeah, so, I think the new main theme is incredibly generic and forgettable.
And before anyone tells me “Oh, but it’s too early, that’s not the actual theme. They’ll make one later!”, no. They’ve used this music for every promotion and most of the animations, and it’s just as mediocre as the latter.
And that’s just looking at the theme on its own. Compare it to what G1 had, be it Nathan Furst’s score, MNOG’s techno, or heck, even The Legend Reborn’s soundtrack, and it’s just abysmal.
Also, @ToaKylerak, isn’t Gali a lot closer to being Captain America than Kopaka?

I am not happy with the fact that the skull villains have silver bones. Bones are white, and silver is way overused.
