After the start of class biz was taken care of the teacher asked them to open their hymn books and copy âThere is Sunshine in My Soul Todayâ. They were told they had 15 minutes and to get as much as they could get done. He did it too explained he wouldnât ask them to do anything he wouldnât do. As time went on he would tell them to make sure the punctuation was right. Then would tell them not to forget other parts. The whole time my daughter said people were complaining and asking/saying âdo we have to do the whole thingâ âyou donât want the chorus too do youâ âcan I type itâ âmy hand hurtsâ âwould you shut upâ âare we having to do this because we didnât sing good on the opening hymnâ âwhyâ âIâm the only guy that singsâ âher hair smells like wet dogâ. When the time was up he explained that as Moses lead the Israelites out of Egypt they had miracles happen all around them but they complained and complained, despite the miracles. He then explained how blessed we are today here in the USA despite the trials we have. We have many possessions others wont ever. Come to find out the teacher didnât write the song he wrote what he was hearing the students say. He counted how many times he heard âshut upâ 18 times, âwhyâ 36 times etc.
She likened to a call out in our time and wondered what our attitudes will be. She was happy to report to me that she didnât say anything. LOL
