This time it’s Dolphus from Tales of Glory and Valour: The Seafarers. 
They are possessed by a demon
They are a werewolf/vampire/faerie
Their eyes are an unusual color
This happens to be red
They are immortal
They have sixth sense/can mind-read
They were bestowed/cursed with these powers
They have lost one/both of their parents
They ran away from home
Their parents are cruel, uncaring, abusive etc. (not so much cruel to him as cruel in general, but his mom was okay [she died lol rip])
They witnessed one/both of their parents death
They never knew their parents
They have no friends
They are emo
They have PTSD
They struggle to stay sane
They have multiple personalities
They have hallucinations
They have a rare/unusual name (I mean I guess idk)
They are a race/species that is discriminated against/misunderstood
They have a certain power that is misunderstood/feared
They live/lived on the streets at some point in their lives
They cry blood
Certain noises/smells/situations/etc make their powers activate/give them a nervous breakdown (if the situation is too involved/seems to reveal info about him he doesn’t want revealed)
They are very mysterious/dark
They have amnesia
The have a curse upon them
They are involved in some sort of prophecy
They have insomnia
They do not care much about others (depends on the person)
They are emotionless
Will snap at some point (and probably kill/injure a member of the party) (it’s entirely possible, but also really depends on the person)
Doesn’t trust others
Will betray the group at some point (if they are apart of one)
[ish] Has no reservations about killing their enemies
Uses a cloak that is also most likely black
Lurks or broods in the shadows.
All their friends are dead or abandoned them
Wears black/has a dark color scheme
I work alone complex
Is constantly tortured by/scared of/running from their past
Is really caring, but just doesn’t know how to emote
Is an assassin, but only by necessity
Is the chosen avatar of scion of a god, goddess, or being of cosmic power
Wields a Katana
Is some sort of samurai or ninja
Has a code of honor reminiscent of a Samurai
Has shadow powers
Dislikes people who are content.
