The First: MOC Contest Results (BIONICLE Canon Contest #1)

we should get a list of the accounts that had their votes removed. Transparency such as this would do nothing but help their case

I literally worked on that topic without even looking at the entries themselves, there wasn’t any bias in filtering out the fraud votes in that one.

I agree. What harm could transparency cause? If anything it could put this to bed and there doesn’t have to be any sort of accusations of vote tampering on part of the mods.

Fair enough, but there was much overlap between accounts there as well. If an account was vetted to be normal, for vote Once, then that would therefore make it normal for the other two as well. However, I’ll concede that simply because I do not know the workings of how you exactly vetted them. But, that’s exactly what I am arguing against.

In my eyes, we should get a list of the removed accounts. That way, anyone with the ability to PM could simply ask themselves.
Why even hide the methods behind detection? The voting system is changing, perhaps to a ranked blind system. Why hide them now?

Still unsure how the balance shifted all of a sudden from 6 being number one to it being number 2, seeing as the polls were closed. Something feels fishy (i didn’t vote for the top 2 options so i don’t like either of them ). Like i would understand if Greg rejected Hoseryx, but the votes conveniently changing after the poll was shut doesn’t make much sense (since TTV said at some point that they found no fake accounts.)

what.

Maybe not every entry was legitimate, but certainly not 350% more than number 2. As stated in the main post, dupped accounts were found on all numbers except number 1. I feel it is unreasonable to accept a discrepancy this glaring by simply stating that number 6 is ā€œjust a memeā€.

Sure but its not like something like this is unexpected for a entry like it. Because it was widely viewed as a meme and thusly someone had the brilliant idea of bot voting to make it win.

Also so noone misinterprets what I’m saying NOTE THAT I’M VERY WELL AWARE THAT SEVERAL PEOPLE VOTED FOR IT GENUINELY AND MORE POWER TO YOU but do know a small portion of you did not so its not to out of the blue to assume that it was your undoing.

Not just a meme - The entry with far and away the most support on other platforms.

edit: Admittedly, I am surprised that there were only 20 frauds on 2.

This is all very strange. Dropping by 3% entirely and simply saying they were false emails and IPs seems very bad.
Not only that, but we cannot even see the demographics of the voters themselves. A simple list of the voters for 2 and 6 could then be checked, and people who notice themselves missing or find someone who they know is not fake could then respond.

Awfully convenient that this is the second poll in a row that double’s moc won after not winning at time of closing.

That was like 2 days ago when i asked in poll doce about fake accounts

I’m willing to believe a sizable amount of throwaway accounts were used but I have to ask since new trust requirements were created in the middle of the contest did they retroactively apply to everyone before?

Also everyone that was vetted for Round 2 was already vetted for Round 3, unless they changed the criteria.

It was not discounted as we were able to determine you had a legitimate account and were not attempting to fraudulently boost votes for your favorite entry.

Yes, a small portion. But 71 votes? 71 votes?

And all vetted behind the scenes, with no transparency as to even those who were removed. As another pointed out, that is 350% more ā€œfalse votesā€ than number 2.

Thank you for replying, I appreciate you checking.

Exactly that’s the fishy part

This would be a good case for solidifying transparency.

is there a way you can make a list of accounts which votes were removed? I don’t see why not.
