Titan Industries, staple of East Coast Technological Progress, seeks buyout of Nexus Technologies

Titan Industries has announced they plan to expand into Oregon after competing local company, NexusTechnologies, has filed for bankruptcy. The company has announced it hopes to buy the assets of NexusTechnologies to make the move smoother, but resistance has been made by NexusTechnologies and its current shareholders.
Titan Industries has been a staple of technological progress since the middle of the 20th century. The company was founded by World War 2 veteran and scientist Robert Titan. During the war, he rolled out the first fully functioning robot (though very primitive), called the âSteel Titanâ. It was utilized in battles against the Germans after the D-Day invasion. After the war, his efforts were commended by President Harry Truman, who rewarded him a government grant. Titan used the grant to create Titan Industries in New York City, today the leader in robotics and atomic research.
During the cold war, they were remembered for their efforts in the Space Race during the 50s, and helping deter the Plutonian Invasion of 1951 with their rockets. In 1969, it was a Titan rocket that had man first land on the Moon. Ever since then, they have had a permanent contract with NASA to assist in space exploration.
Robert Titan died in 1984, and the company has traded hands down to its current CEO, his grandson Robert Titan III. Robert has been an entrepreneur in electric cars, more advanced reusable rockets, and replicating the old Plutonian technology. He also has shown great interest in advanced robotics, like his grandfather, stating, âI want to build on that idea of the Steel Titan to its absolute limit.â
Part of this interest was trying to buy out NexusTech, which itself has shown to be a great rival in atomic and robotic research. However, the bankrupt company has decided to be bought out by a private equity firm instead, hoping to restructure. Robert Titan has stated, âwe still plan to expand into Oregon. We already have branches in California and Washington, and so we hope to gain a good foothold in all of the West Coast.â
NexusTech: National Scandal, Bankruptcy and Comeback

Back in September of last year, the Nexus Technologies was overtaken by a second explosion, in which the blast wave spread across the city and affected much of the population, turning many of us into masked monsters. Thanks to the efforts of Emerald-Man, however, the people returned to normal. However, after this incident, a federal investigation overcame the company. What was found was a second attempt to rebuild their teleportation machine.
The search for a perpetrator of the explosion was also underway. However, no evidence of one was found. Agents believe the Director of the company, Jacob Enoch, was the one who was responsible, but after the incident he went missing. The Federal Bureau of Investigation believes he died in the explosion, though no body was found. The FBI also believes a second perpetrator was involved, based on witness reports after the explosion of a âmasked manâ seen fleeing the scene. However, he, too, had vanished without a trace.
In January the company filed for bankruptcy after paying off many of its lawsuits. Initially, two companies were interested in buying it. The first was competitor Caveyar Industries, a Californian company that has been expanding northward and absorbed Advanced Medical Solutions. The second was the east coast company, Titan Industries. Titan has recently been expanding into the west coast, in Seattle, and sought to purchase Nexus Technologies assets to gain a foothold. However, neither offers were taken. Instead, it was purchased by a Private Equity firm of a disclosed name.
The first demand of the private firm was to back Seth Dwarn, the former head engineer of the company, into leadership as its new director. Dwarn himself had helped found the company with Jacob Enoch back in August of 1998, though delegated himself as chief engineer, claiming to not be a âvery good businessmanâ compared to his partner. With Seth Dwarn as director, NexusTech has announced its plans to rebuild and sweep its former year of scandal behind itself.
As has been reported, Titan Industries has built a new facility in Portland anyways, where the former Nexus Technologies once was. It was completed this last August. NexusTech has publicly announced they welcome the âfriendly competitionâ from such a long standing brand and hope to make Portland a new technological center.
