@Plural I wonder if you would ever realize that there are more theme not just this. Look around
[/quote]I’m probably more aware of the amount of Castle themes then you are. It’s a vital part of the company.
I’m not dissapointed. I knew it will be like this. I’m not suprised.
@Boohee Bad Chima copy. Happy now?
@Plural I’m sure you are. I never had any interest towards the Castle theme. I wonder if the Castle fans were keep asking it, to bring it back. Yes, like Bionicle. It seems it really does work.
Subjective. No basis in truth. No evidence to back it up. Try again.
If you already knew it was to be as it is, then why say:
The castle theme is one of lego’s most classic themes. It is never going to go away. This is a chance to take the castle theme in a brand new direction, and open up the door to tons of new and awesome ideas. A big castle on tank treads? YES PLEASE.
They needed to theme quickly to fill the emty space what Chima left behind.
This whole re-Castle thing feels like a rushing theme
@Nyran Hope dies last
The Transition between Castle and Kingdom wasn’t even a year…
Not really.
To explain, it’s something like
<i
People like Castle
<i
People like Sci Fi
<i
Together, they can be cool.
Seems just fine to me
What I meant is finding something “new” to keep up the fans interest.
@Nyran Castle and Sci-Fi are a terrible mix. Lego could have worked on this a little more…
And that’s bad?
Why? You really haven’t explained that.
The aesthetics and visuals of the Medieval, added to the technology and mixed with the aesthetic of the sci fi blend quite well. This is mostly because History tends to repeat itself, in the real world.
Like, a lot.
It’s all purely subjective of course, but I fail to see the issue.
It is bad when there is not creative at all but making a crazy mix from Castle and Sci-fi.
Really… What would knight know about technology?
But in the videos which Lego uploaded, the castle figures look poor and awkward with the same lame jokes around and the worst this in all that Lego just trying to push this theme down in our throat and sadly it seems, many people just let it happen.
True story, these totally mean the exact same thing.
It takes place in a world that already had such technology. The medieval aesthetic is merely that: an aesthetic. One that just happens to mesh incredibly with sci-fi.
It’s High Fantasy…
You can break your toys then making something from the broken pieces. There you go. Creative and crazy. But this theme is just crazy. But if that’s what you like…
@Boohee Lego really got into the multi dimentional thing…
I’m not even sure what to make of this. It’s not related to what I said at all.
“It takes place in a world that already had such technology”
Come on, use your words. Explain it to me.
The term knight is often tied with the medieval period, but the idea of a knight is timeless. I see no reason why we can’t have a futuristic knight in a futuristic world
Sureeee. One could argue the lame jokes in the Bionicle animations or Ninjago are just as bad. In fact I actually had a chuckle at the posing joke.
How so? It’s a creative theme that many people here like. They aren’t resorting to desperate tactics to convince fans to buy, they’re just proudly showcasing their design.
