Plot twist: Takanuva’s travel through parallel universes wasn’t actually parallel universes or any other alternate reality travel. They were other Mata Nui robots created by the great beings. The other robots had similar issues that were inevitable, but each had either slightly different responses or drastically. Each Mata Nui bot has the same units of mataron, makuta, etc. The Olmak was a mask designed to be used in emergency to travel from bot to bot. Artakha created them on orders of the great beings. The other robots had a similiar mission, explore and gather intel, but Mata Nui, the one we know, was sent to deal with the eploded planet issue. The robot on Bara Magna could still either be a prototype, or a earlier model. (Agh, there’s probably a lot of plot holes in this, my Bionicle lore is getting rusty… I need to brush up)

Plot Twist: The spirit of Mata Nui.was not the original ruler of the Great Spirit Robot.
In the beginning, Makuta was the Great spirit, but he wanted the Matoran to love him more, so he created a being known as Mata Nui to govern the world while Makuta led his armies in taking down the universe.
When Makuta defeated Mata Nui, the one he created, Makuta took control of the robot again and assumed his name, but Mata Nui was not defeated and he was determined to keep ruling the land, so he kicked Makuta out by sending him hurtling through space in the Ignika.
Then the Bara Magna storyline happens and everyone loved ‘Mata Nui’ (Actually Makuta) more

So, I thought of this after posting the first one, but Plot twist: Bionicle 2015 is not a revamp, but another Mata Nui Robot, maybe a different model due to the major differences. The matoran were never given conscious due to the lack of a overseeing great being like the other models, so this is probably an autonomous model, so they were a uniform race simply called “protectors” and “villagers.” Maybe in this model, instead of Artakha and Karzaahni, had Akimu and Makuta. They made the Makuta unit take Kaarzhaani’s place due to the Kaarzhaani unit was defected as seen by him failing his duty. Also, this would prevent the makuta unit take over. However they foresaw a flaw in that contingency plan, with the possibility of the mask of ulitmate power, thus making the law about the masks having only one power. This failed as seen by Makuta building it. Akimu is just an updated version of Artakha. However, it is possible that it could totally be the reverse and this was the prototype model on Bara Magna, and whatever happens inside it caused it to self destruct and crash on one of the shattered planets, or maybe before the shattering. This would make the fact that the Toa getting there elemental powers from masks rather than maks powers and just having elemental powers make sense, as this sounds more like a prototype version. So, I’m curious on what you guys think on that one? Which is more plausible, or are they nonsense, etc?
