But, of course, with such a size it starts getting kinda tough to make the build withstand gravity. Especially with digitigrate legs. So I did for once use pistons as well as CCBS friction extenders.
While I did prioritize stability, he nevertheless retains surprisingly decent poseability.
His waist is also slightly poseable. The big problem are the arms, where the shoulder joints are way too soft. I could only get an approximation of friction out of it by sticking pieces of an old rubber band underneath the joints.
I normally think pistons end up looking kind of bad in mocs of this scale, but they’re quite unobtrusive here! I like the use of the fist pieces on the face, and you’re right in that this does kinda look like a ‘prime’ version of TSO. Overall, nice work!
Well, quite the improvement for this criminal underworld head honcho. His new scale makes his old jaw look less reasonable, however, as the bumps in his jawline produced by the silver Chima fists make his jaw itself look very weak. I wish I could recommend some kind of silver piece for the jaw that would add some reasonable bulk to it, but nothing comes to mind.
The shoulder design and pistons are very reminiscent of Maxilos. Was that set any inspiration here?
