For those who don’t know, Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is the popular sequel to the 3DS Tomodachi Life and the DS Tomodachi Collection. In the game, you have an island, which you populate with fully-customized Mii characters, who then interact, become friends, and make sometimes-funny remarks.
I’ve got over 50 hours in the game so far, so clearly I hate it. /s
My island is populated by Zelda and Ninjago characters, with one lone Bionicle character (Lewa). I would add more Bionicle characters, but it can be difficult to represent such complex designs in Mii form. My Miis have started various Greg Farshtey fan clubs, though…

I know @Ghid is trying to revive the topic for the 3DS Tomodachi Life, but I feel like the new one deserves its own topic (and the old topic is 12 years old with precious little discussion since then).
What about you? Have you played the game, and what kind of Miis have you created?
I’ve gotten him better-fitting clothes since, although nothing really fits right, and I’m probably going to have to make a custom shirt, like I did with Frak (he’s only wearing the generic hoodie in early photos; the custom torso based on his minifigure is in some of the later screenshots). The problem is, that took me 2-3 hours last time, and it was just a minifigure torso print, so we’ll see if I can work up the energy to handle a complex Bionicle torso. He’s also got an axe now, though it’s not very similar to his real axe.
Incidentally, minifigure torso prints translate well to the custom clothing in the game, since there’s only two sides (front and back) with which to operate, and they both cover about the same areas.
Right now, Jay and Nya are dating, Zane and P.I.X.A.L. have mutual crushes on each other, Geo has a crush on Cole, Frak has a crush on Sora, and the Dragons Rising Ninja are all living together (as are Jay and Nya, as well as Cole and Geo). Link and Zelda are married, and Linkle from Hyrule Warriors is their child. Samus is really lonely, since I put her on an island alone.
Is anyone else on the Boards playing Living the Dream?
A friend of mine bought that game on release day. One of the first things he did was to make a Mii based on me who wanders the island and talks to everyone about Bionicles… I don’t even do that irl
I haven’t played the game, but so far I think the new Mii customization abilities look pretty awesome. I’ve seen people make really impressive things, including some of yours. The non-human characters look great and even the human ones translate nicely into Mii format. I’d love to see a better photo of Lord Ras!
While I’ve only ever played the original 3DS game once in my life, I had a lot of fun making custom song lyrics there. That feature seems to have been removed in the new one… Quite a big loss if you ask me.
In Euphrasia’s never-before-seen appearance in Dragons Rising: Season 3 Part 2, she must face the ghosts of her allies! (Lewa appears in an uncredited cameo, and Strike from Strike of the Serpentine also cameos, moping about the Serpentine War.)
