she beamed “That would be even better! I haven’t been able to preform with a live band since I was a girl! A jukebox is great too though.”
“Well, we aim to please,” Backbreaker jokes, bowing in an exaggerated fashion. “We’re happy to make your stay on Cybertron a memorable one.”
Thea once again chuckled.
“On a more positive note, I have certainly been enjoying my visit to your home world. I’ve already witnessed a greater climate variety than anything on Kalliope. Vast deserts and expansive rocky hills. I’m eager to see what other vistas your planet holds. And that’s not even to speak of this city. Your architecture is brutish, but charming. It reminds me somewhat of the industrial colonies within the Vex empire. As far as first impressions go, understanding that these are far from usual circumstances, I’m quite captivated.”
Auger clapped enthusastically.
“Excellent! Now, about that favor that was mentioned. What is it I can do for you?”
Nebula snickered a bit at the remark and response.
“Alright, that makes sense.”
She then looked to Railgun directly.
“You wouldn’t mind if I had something to drink, would you? I’d like to think I’m pretty far from a lightweight, but if you’d rather I not, I’ll listen.”
“By the way, how do you feel about going to the gladiator pits?”
Torchwing asked.
“Gladiator pits? Sure.” Darksting said, then hastily added, “As long as we keep a low profile.”
She lowered her voice quite a bit. “Do you know anything about reformating?” She asked.
Railgun snaps out of his other thoughts and turns to Nebula, considering it. He responds after a couple seconds.
“If we weren’t so close to another fight, I wouldn’t mind. However, it seems the others are planning to attack Soundwave’s establishment. I’m sorry, but I’d rather you not at this time. I’ll make up for it later.”
“What’s the vex homeworld like, actually?” Backbreaker asks. “Is it anything like Iota’s moon, or is it different?”
“No. Iota was an entertainment capital. Very different from Kalliope. Our home world is like a utopia of art and culture. A world of endless cities and shining spires. With a magnificent floating palace. For a time it was all I ever knew. And as beautiful as it is, it’s hardly ever interesting. Here you have fighting pits and wildlife. Things that make every day new and interesting. My home world has nothing like that.”
Thea explained.
“Don’t worry about it. You make a good point.”
Nebula replied.
“Though if we’re gonna go up against Soundwave, I wonder if we’ll have to deal with all his little ankle biters too?”
“I might know a bot who knows a bot.”
Auger replied.
“Reformating has been seen as a major taboo as of late. Moreso than usual. But there’s still a few bots around willing to provide the service.”
He reached under the counter and pulled out a small bit of scrap paper and a pen. He then scribbles an address on it and slid it towards Juliana.
“Head here and see if you can find a maximal named Pinpoint. He’ll help ya out.”
Torchwing laughed.
“The pits are the farthest thing from low profile as you can get. Well, if you’re fighting anyway. But if you’d rather just watch, that’s fine.”
“And Cybertron doesn’t have anything like Kalliope, either,” Backbreaker says. “Not any more, at least. I bet the Ancients probably had floating palaces.”
Meanwhile, in Maccadam’s, Hemorrhage looks for any televisions or holograms which might be displaying news broadcasts- or what passed for news in a Decepticon dictatorship.
Railgun tilts his head slight at that comment, though only for a moment. It’s not like they were any taller.
“Most likely,” Railgun answers.
“We’ve fought Stimulator’s rejects several times,” Coverfire says. “Soundwave’s cassettes can’t be much worse.”
“I’d be glad to offer you a visit sometime, but I know my mother would never allow such a thing.”
Thea said.
There was indeed a medium sized screen positioned above the bar. However it had been turned off.
“Maybe. Though none of those guys could violently shake the ground whenever they wanted.”
Nebula replied.
“You know what I mean.” Darksting joked.
“Well not the three you fought, he had more.” Coverfire says.
“A lot more,” Sheller raises.
“Oh right, him being Simulus as well. Still gives me a headache.” Coverfire complains.
“The three in the prison were the only ones that got captured with him. He had about six per identity. Stimulator’s fourth disc, Coolair, could create cyclones. We were fortunate to have never fought the Decepticon ones. Their abilities were quite destructive.” Railgun explains.
“Yes, thank you sir. When would you like me to start?” She asked
“Yeah, I know,” Backbreaker says.
Hemorrhage sighs and takes a seat at the bar.
Razorbite glanced around the bar, still in beast mode to prevent his wound from leaking. This gave him perhaps a less than satisfactory view of the establishment, seeing as he could only stare up from the ground, but he could see where every notable piece of furniture or architectural detail was.
It had only been a few days, but he felt like he’d been gone for months on end. Of course, he was very forgetful, exhausted and generally didn’t really pay attention to anything going on if it didn’t apply to him, so he could probably narrow his inactivity down to that.
The good thing was that Timberjack had seemingly stopped being incredibly suspicious of him, so he took this time to slither over to Headbite and nudge her leg to get her attention.

“You’re with this lot right? Going to fight Megatron and all that? I certainly don’t want to keep you from your mission. So I’ll have you begin after you’re finished with with this.”
Auger replied.
“Somehow there always manages to be way more bots involved in your past than I remember.”
Nebula replied.

“Alright everybody!”
Torchwing announced cheerfully.
“In celebration of the first step of our journey, and some exciting news from our friend here, I’ll be treating everybody to a round of drinks!”
“Nothing too strong I hope. We still have a lot to do today.”
Axis said.
“Come on feathers. I’m a lot of things, but I’m not irresponsible.”
The pirate retorted. Axis merely glared at him for a moment.
“Okay, I’m not that irresponsible.”
Auger took a quick head count before he started grabbing glasses and prepping his equipment.
“Any special requests before I get stared?”
Thea thought for a moment before she realized something.
“Actually, if I’m not mistaken, isn’t this your first time returning home since you left? Since Iota took you and placed you in his prison?”
She asked.
“Ah, that’ll be nice.” Darksting said.
“Something light, please,” Hemorrhage requests. “The day is young.”
“Nothing for me, please,” Tripwire says. “I-I don’t drink. It makes my condition worse.”
“Yeah, actually,” Backbreaker. “Kaon looks a helluva lot different now. Would love to go out and see it, but there are too many Decepticons here. One of 'em might recognize me.”
“And how many of our war stories did you manage to tell her?” Coverfire gave closer to a statement than a question.
“Maybe two in proper?” Railgun says unsure at first. “As war always demands, there are too many we had to fight with or against. It’s a matter of determining which ones require remembering and the times for telling.”
Timberjack had a small smile with the business going down between Auger and Juliana. At least it seemed that she had some senses to get fixed up after all. Though with this call, he had to really consider if he should drink now or another time.
It would be a wasted visit otherwise…
He raises an arm up and says, “Yes, mind turning that screen on? Would like to see what’s broadcasting these days. Aside from that, I’ll take something light but thick, kind of sticky.”
