Transformer New Horizons: Rebirth of The Tyrant. RP

“Sir?” Sheller asks confused.

“Perhaps he’s sore from last time?” Railgun answered uncertain, also confused by this.

“At least it narrows down which bunk to hang in.” Coverfire says, reviewing the remaining options.

Darksting would find the same long hall lined with rooms that the others had, having walked in just as the commotion with Torchwing and the others had ended. The crew of minicons was at the end.

“Name’s Treadquake. Oi don’t think oi’ve eva’ met a maximal like ya.”
The predacon said cheerfully.

“If we’re talking about sharing a room with the bulks, flyboy wouldn’t be too bad. I think Bluntforce snores a bit, but other than that they’ll be a safe option.”
Nebula replied.

“Hmmm, I’ll have to find somewhere to spend the night.” Darksting murmured as he walked toward the Mini-Cons.

Angel shrugs, “I guess I’ll have to put it on the list of topics to study later.” He says, bringing out the books on the Great War after he finished with the one on Ancient times.

Tripwire shrugs.

“Well, we’re all different,” he says. “I know you guys don’t have very high opinions of us, but we’re not all a buncha stuck-up, judgmental jerks.”

“Provided there isn’t enough rooms for us to be alone, they’ll do.” Railgun says. “Anywhere else we want to explore first or hit the target range and then rec before bed?”

Timberjack grabs one of the fiction books and flips it open to see what genre it’s in.

“I hope you’re a fast reader, that’s a long chronicle.”

“For stuff like this, I can just get a good look at each page and then practically make it an ebook in my head by accessing my own memory files or be able to recreate it like I did with Axis’s book.” Angel says as he began flipping through the books, absorbing as much information as possible as quickly as possible.

“I was kinda curious how they run this thing. Maybe we could check out engineering?”
Nebula suggested.

The book provided more or less the same information Axis had told him a few days prior. Albeit going into noticeably more detail.

The book did cover one thing Axis had glossed over. That being the lead up to the war. The early days of Megatron and Orion Pax. How their shared goals of a better world brought them together as close friends. And how their disagreements over how to achieve those goals tore their friendship apart. Leading to the establishment of the decepticons, then the autobots, which lead into the Great War.

“Oi suppose so.”
Treadquake said thoughtfully.
“Guess sayin’ all you maximals are all judgemental loik is no different than maximals sayin’ all us predacons are noffin but filfy criminals.”

Just then, every one would hear Dirtboss’ voice come over the intercom.

“Alright everyone listen up! We’ve sat here long enough. We got a long trip ahead of us. An express run to Sand Mouth. No stops to rest. I want escort crews and engine crews rotated asap! We roll out in five minutes!”

“Finally, we’re getting going.” Darksting said, to nobody in particular. He decided to go and see how Tripwire was doing in the armory.

“Exactly!” says Tripwire. “Now, you wanna show me how you make all these weapons?”

Angel made a mental note and went on to look for information from both sides about the events leading up to the Great War before he touched on the Beast Wars.

Timberjack freezes for a moment, before giving a chuckling response.

“That’s cheating. I’ve got to learn that trick. Well good luck with your studies.”

He puts back the fiction book and heads back out into the rec room to see if any pirates remained after Dirtboss’s announcement.

“In case we need to blow it up?” Coverfire asks.

“I’d imagine it is a repurpose spacecraft engine.” Sheller says uninterested.

“A quick tour of the vessel and then the other places.” Railgun says, which seems to at least satisfy the others for now. They head for engineering.

Juliana decided to slip into the top of the second trailer, hoping that she’d be able to keep out of the way of the crew. She found a nice corner and started humming to herself to keep her mind occupied.

“Oi’m not sure. Don’t know if tha commanda would be okay wiff me sharin’ our designs.”
Treadquake replied.

And it was around then Darksting would arrive.

All of the predacons that were there a moment before had left. While some of the guards that escorted the team inside had taken their place.

The four textbook sized volumes told a very neutral series of events, recounting the four million years of war.

Theses volumes however told nothing of the Beast Wars. Nor would Angel be able to find a book on the event in the library. The Beast Wars were still well within living memory, so it was likely that no one decided they needed a book on it. If Angel wanted to learn more about it, he’d probably have good luck asking anyone aboard the Convoy.

The engineering section seemed rather odd. Since there wasn’t actually any engine.

The minicon crew would find a large number of flat stations spaced throughout the room.

The next engine crew came in and prepared for the rip. Most of them transformed into theirs vehicle modes. The platforms locked their wheels in, and they all revved up their engines.

Five more predacons took places to watch over and maintain the machinery, while one last predacon stood at the back of the room to supervise.

“Engine crew, status report.”
Dirtboss’ voice echoed through the intercom.

The supervisors grabbed a wall mounted radio and spoke into it.
“All locked in and ready to roll. Though most of the crew is requesting extra rec time once we’re done.”

“Get us there in one run and you’ll get all the down time you want. Be ready to move out on my mark.”

Juliana had managed to miss all of the earlier commotion in the barracks, and she wouldn’t have much trouble finding an unoccupied room.

Around then Hoverbug came into the barracks. She greeted Juliana with a pleased smile.

“Howdy! Funny seein’ you again isn’t it?”

“Oh. Right, I uh… I guess that makes sense,” Tripwire replies. “Can you at least show me around your workspace?”

Angel finished with the books on the Great War and then began rifling through what remained of the pile he took from the shelves to finish up.

If there is an empty table, Timberjack takes one and just tries listening to the random conversations. Seeing if any of them start playing some game. He leans back in his chair, mostly relaxing as to not make this obvious. Mostly in part due to him actually relaxing as well, it sure had been a day.

The trio just watches dumbstruck by the sight.

“Sir, these seems highly inefficient.” Sheller eventually comments.

“They’re a bunch of helio-hamsters running in wheels? Or is this some cruel exercise routine with benefits?” Coverfire questions aloud.

“Wow, what’s this place?” Darksting said. He started looking around excitedly and the massive cache of weapons.

“This 'ere is tha armory.”
Treadquake replied as Darksting came in. He walked away from Tripwire before he could answer the tinkerer’s question.

He made sure to close the gate in the counter before Darksting could pass through.

“Can’t 'ave more than guest back 'ere at once. You’ll 'ave ta wait.”

The last book detailed the origins of the maximals and predacons. How they were designed to live on when Cybertron was faced with an energy crisis. The next generation of cybertron.

Though the perspective certainly seemed a bit skewed. It spoke of the war era bots as old and unsophisticated, and the beast era bots being superior in nearly every way. The mass exile, something Axis framed as a somewhat shameful event, was described here as something necessary and inevitable.

Three predacons sat down at another table not too far, and started setting up a game of cards. Another two took to one of the pool tables.

“Why do you think Dirtboss wants us to go all the way out to Sand Mouth? We haven’t gone that far out since before megatron showed up.”

“We’re dropping off those guests we picked up. Some of them are friends of her’s, so I guess she’s willing to make that risk if it’s for a favor.”

“Somebody say something? Who’s complaining?”
The supervisor called out.

“No ma’am. We’re ready to go as soon as the commander gives the word. No complaints here.”
One of the other predacons replied.

“Wouldn’t want me making off with any of your weapons.” Darksting said. He smiled at Treadquake to show he wasn’t serious.
