Transformers: Dawn of a New Age Signups and Discussion Topic

Kitai touched one of the quintesson artifacts that Razor bought and activated it. Gabriel is somehow speaking through the artifact and giving a message to the people in/near the Pack Mule.

Got it. Thanks. I’ll be sure to read back a bit when I have the time.

Here’s a link to Excalibur II’s profile. I thought the ship was gonna become more relevant way earlier than it actually did, so I posted it rather prematurely.

The Pack Mule doesn’t have the space for that, but Excalibur II has a small hangar that can fit the Prime Flyer.

Gotcha. I wanted to move Axis into the Pack Mule since that’s where all the players are. But this’ll work too. I honestly wasn’t expecting us to just take both ships.

Excalibur II has a ground bridge, so Axis could portal over to the Pack Mule after she lands, if you’d like.

Didn’t Ratchet specifically say that trying to open a ground bridge inside a quickly moving object was an objectively horrible idea that would more than likely result in serious injury?

Alright. Sounds good to me.

We’re a hundred twenty million years into the future. The technology has progressed a great deal.

Theoretically, if both ends of the bridge are moving parallel to each other at the same speed, then there shouldn’t be any damage to users. I’m guessing that injury would happen if the endpoints were moving in directions other than parallel, since that would necessarily cause the ground bridge to have a constantly changing position and length.

You guys have no idea how long I’ve had this scene cooking in the back of my head. It feels good to finally get it all out.

Again, Razor was the one who had the Quintesson parts.

I’ll probably be away from my computer for most of the next week and a half. Just letting folks know.

The Story So Far has also been updated.

Good to know! I hope everything is going well.

EDIT:
One thing I absolutely have to talk about is how much I loved the way everything came together before this break. It all just escalated so perfectly.

We start off with the subtle foreshadowing with Firestorm being like
“Hey I don’t want to raise any alarms but Liege isn’t picking up his phone. Should we be worried about that?”

And Axis responds with
“I can tell this is foreshadowing but I want this to be a nice trip, so I will insist that we don’t need to worry about it.”

Then on the other side of the ship Nova finally has her huge breakdown, making a massive scene in the hangar. Not only does this put Nova and Niko both at massive emotional low points, but also cut her off from the only emotional support she’s had in years. It only really effects these two characters, but that sort of emotional blowout is gonna put any close witnesses on edge, which happened to be a lot of the crew at the time.

Then right after that Kitai shares his horrible apocalypse vision, which just so happens to involve Liege being in danger. (Quick side note, oh my god Chrome! Dude your imagery is immaculate. That vision was absolutely nuts. It gave me crazy chills. You are a master of your craft)

But before Axis can even process any of that Redshift pipes up like “Hey we’re getting close and the instruments say things aren’t looking good.”

Then Firestorm says “Looking ahead my eyes tell me that this other thing also doesn’t look good.”

And Axis is like
“You know I really should have seen this coming.”

Then at that exact same moment Maxinus finally learns what quintessons are, which in turn finally gives him an idea of what’s really going on. He gets one of his classic ominous gut feelings and he goes.
“Alright looks like the vacation is over. Gotta put away the fun face, now it’s time for my serious face.”

And just, man. The way it all built up and escalated was amazing. This is some chef’s kiss peak narrative tension. I absolutely love it.

I really enjoyed reading and responding to y’all’s posts describing how your characters got ready for battle. It honestly hyped me up a little when getting the scene and the enemies ready. Y’all keep doing what you’re doing.

Also, here are names for some of the bad guys in this fight. Your characters probably won’t know these names unless they keep some of these guys alive for interrogation or whatever, but we can use them in writing just for convenience.

The corrupted Knight’s name is Erinyix.

The large bot with the desert camo on his armor is named Hammer, and the little guy with the rifle is named Nail.

The Combiner with the chains is called Chaingang. His three components are named Smelter, Slurry, and Ingot.

The mech currently fighting Firestorm and Kitai is called Phantom Malevolent.

The quintesson creature and the cyborg soldiers do not have names, since they’re just mooks.

Hold up. Sorry if this is needlessly pedantic- Not entirely sorry. I’ve been feeling like crap and stuck in bed for days. I don’t exactly have a lot better to do. -I think something was lost? Or maybe miscommunication?

The plan was for Maximus to go to the Shard Mountains and talk to Carrion, accompanied by Talon and Gyro since they’re the faster fliers and would be able to keep up with him.

Honeycomb and Lunawing meanwhile, knowing the Below better than anyone else in the group, would speak to the Queen and warn her of the Quintesson threat directly.

Then when both parties are finished they meet back up at the space port. Save for Talon of course who stays with Carrion to join Eukaris’ first line of defense.

Yep, silly me got the details a little jumbled around. I’ll fix that in a bit.

I must apologize for my slow activity. Mild medical issues have left me lacking in energy as of late. It’s nothing serious, so don’t worry. Just letting you guys know.

Hey, @BlackBeltGamer98 , @DuneToa, Seraphicon and Defender didn’t react to the attacks made against them in my last post. May you please edit yours and take care of that for me?

Yes, that’s right.

I’ll take care of that!
