“Hydro you might want to step aside.” said Hammer as he step forward.
Hydro nods. “Oh boy…please don’t die on me…” said Hydro a bit worried.
Hammer raises the Requiem Blaster at the drones and he activates it firing at the drones.

A beam of blinding vermillion energy lances down the corridor, obliterating many of the drones. Others are destroyed simply from being in close proximity to the blast.
“Wow. I just got a flashback to Aldeeran,” Zip comments.
“Back to the references, I see,” Cargo sighs.
Hammer was amazed by its destructive capabilities.
Hydro Rex realized he didn’t even need to do something his optics were wider then a oul. “…holy…jujubeans…” he said.
“Yeahyeah, it’s pretty cool, sure,” Bootleg hurriedly says. “Now c’mon, let’s get goin’!”
Maximus watched with a sense of awe and beauty. If he could drool he would have been.
Axis was easily able to pick up on this.
“Don’t worry. You’ll get your turn. And close your mouth, or you’ll end up swallowing a bit bug.”
Maximus quickly moved forward, remembering the safest path.
Hammer and Hydro nod. The two approached Bootleg.
“Sorry…its just you know.” said Hammer.
“Its the Freaking Requiem Blaster that’s what it is.” said Hydro pretty stocked about it.
OOC: Now I GTG its pretty late at my place, sorry guys but well I do have school tomorrow. Alright thanks for everything and goodnight ![]()
OOC: In that case, I hope you don’t mind me passing the Requiem Blaster on to someone else to continue the sequence.
IC: The Requiem Blaster detaches from Hammer’s arm and clatters to the floor.
Cargo, Killstreak, Coalburn, and Zipline ready to leave the temple.
“So, we won by blowing a lot of things up,” Zip notices.
“Zip, just forget it,” Killstreak says. She, on the other hand, was exhausted. Streak planned to sleep the entire way to Aevum.
“Hey, Cargo?” prods Zipline, so that Killstreak and Coalburn wouldn’t hear.
“Yeah?”
“You know how… reluctant I was about joining a team? Or, simply working as one?”
“Yeah.”
“Well, possibly the coolest thing I’ve ever done in my life was done as a team. I guess I see why even Iron Man needs Cap at his side now. And why Rey needs- Well, Rey don’t need nobody. But I’m not Rey.”
“I don’t understand any of that, just so you know.”
“I do know. When we get back… If we get back, I don’t want to leave the Guild anymore.”
“Oh?”
“Our team needs us.”
Cargo embraces him in a one-armed hug, brother-to-brother, as the two leave the chamber.
The battle wasn’t over just yet; the fortress’ defenses had been kicked into overdrive in a last-ditch effort to prevent the Requiem Blaster from being taken.
Maximus quickly rushes to pick it up, almost dropping Axis.
“Easy! Easy! I can’t walk on my own. Remember?”
“Oh, right. Sorry.”
Maximus backed away from the blaster.
Bootleg produces the Enigma of Combination.
“Could this help?”
“No. Not doing that again.”
Axis said sternly.
“I’m fine carrying her. Someone else can take it.”
Maximus said with a humble tone.
The Requiem Blaster reattaches itself to Hammer (@MichaelTheLightBringer).
Firestorm steps up, “If I may?” He asked as Dark fired a massive explosive blast a a bunch of drones, “I promise to not use it unless needed.” They said in unison.
Piston fires missiles at the main turrets.
Whetstone fires his cannons at a few drones, while Myriad does the same.
The four hunters resume their wave of attacks on the drones.
These attacks further chip away at the defenses, however there were plenty more that our heroes needed to fight through to escape.
@MichaelTheLightBringer Hammer could feel the Requiem Blaster’s power surging through his frame, constantly threatening to overwhelm and consume him as it had with Kickstart.
“Alright then lats lay some hate, like old times.” said Hydro preparing his hand cannons.
Hammer nods.
“This raw power…” said Hammer as his eyes glowed in a pure crimson red color as little hits of red where flowing through his body he felt the power of the Requiem Blaster.
Hammer did not all the power to overwhelm him and consume him, he spoke to it and himself. “No!” he said. “I am my own master, I will not allow you to determine my actions.”
Zipline, though late, takes notice of the cannon. “Baby Death Star! Come to me!” He holds his hands out with childlike pleading.
