Some of the rounds embed themselves shallowly into Megabolt’s helmet, but otherwise the Herald is unharmed.
Infernocus’ knee isn’t cut, but a layer of ice does form across it. The combiner separates, and the five Infernocons run off to recover.
Ramjet wasn’t there. Like the coward he was, he had retreated to pursue easier prey.
There was no reply. Axis was on Trecedim once more as the glowing pool at the bottom of the sinkhole turns a stark white, and the energon crystals sparkle brilliantly as the liquid coils up the stone anvil and washes over the destroyed Matrix. The crystal shards begin to condense into a glowing orb, and the shell halves are pulled to it as a golden hue begins to spread over the charred black.
Maximus watched, absolutely amazed with what had happened.
Axis looked at the reformed Matrix. Almost looking scared of it.
“No. I… I can’t. I just can’t.”
Maximus grabbed her hands and turned his mate to face him.
“Look at me. You know who you are. This is who you were meant to be. Don’t run from this. Embrace it. I love you. You’re the most beautiful bot my optics have had the pleasure of seeing. You’ve earned this.”
Axis looked up at her Predacon love. Then turned to look back at the Matrix. Timidly and slowly, she walked towards it.
“Right. Sorry.”
Axis said nervously. She walked up to the pedestal and grabbed hold of the Matrix. Slipping her fingers into the appropriate holes in the handles.
Hammer soon realized that that coward Ramjet left the battle field, he transformed and soon rejoined with his friend Hydro.
As Hammer transformed and laded basically in front of Infernocus he fired multiple shots at Infernocus’s body with the Requiem Blaster, one shot was going towards his legs, other towards his right shoulder and other towards his chest.
“Don’t forget about me!” cackles Thunderclash. The shot from the Requiem Blaster spirals out of control missing Infernocus by a hair (and singing his leg, as a result), as the Minicon slides between the legs of his brutish companion.
Hammer could feel the energies of the blaster threatening to overtake him.
The Scythe complies.
All on Trecedim, save Optimus Prime, are engulfed in the light and whisked away, bound for Cybertron at impossible speeds.
“Oh right…” Hammer said not really surprised about another Herald cheating death.
Hammer did indeed feel it, he struggled. “Not now! Work with me…a bit longer.” Hammer hesitated and he still had the Blaster attached to him, trying to overcome the temptations with his mighty will.
Hydro Rex didn’t really stood on ceremony he send a cold blizzard towards Thunderclash.
A brilliant, dazzling pillar of cyan energy, threatening to rival even the sun around which Cybertron spun, slams into the surface of Unicron’s Sparkchamber with an ear-splitting thunderclap, and endures for a solid minute. All across the battlefield, Cybertronains, Terrorcons, and Heralds alike stop to stare in wonder, amazement, terror, and rage at the phenomenon. Deep within the innermost core of the organ, Nemesis Prime bears witness through the eyes of the undead, and bellows a booming roar of primal fury and stark terror.
Axis could feel the Matrix changing shape. It was growing larger, and longer, taking on a shape easily recognizable from her days as a fighter on Eukaris. The Matrix was transforming into a sword:
The pillar of light clears revealing Axis and all the others who had accompanied her to Trecedim standing in a burning circle, with the Excalibur hanging high overhead, now crewed only by Teletraan Iota.
To Axis, the sword feels lighter than even the Star Saber, and spreading out from her hands the hilt and guards turn a magnificent polished gold. The blade and crystal shine as white as the stars, and a series of sharp _click_s are heard as the Matrix of Leadership opens, bathing the Sparkchamber of Unicron in the divine energies of Primus, the Creator.
Seraphicon hijacked, with some help from Firestorm, the comlinks of all the warriors that stood against the darkness, “My brothers and sisters!” He yelled, “Behold, Axis Prime! The Successor!”
“Rally to us, for Primus, for life and for a new dawn!” He cried out.
The Angelicons heard the rallying cry, flying towards the Prime with renewed vigor.
“Hear us now, Spawn of Unicron!” He called out to the Heralds and Terrorcons, “We now bring the light that shall herald the dawn that shall erase your filth from all existence!”
OOC: I understand it’s more for a forced loss scenario but I think The Last Stand is still fitting.
