Yup, black part is an visor (well its an helmet overall, look up reference is one of my drawings)
On the topic of good artists,
usualy good artis is categorised as “Human beeing wich can create a drawn thing in 3d with shadind and other stuff I cant do”

Man, you made Toa Fatorak look pretty sweet. The cracked background and the airy background on him really emphasize his combination of two elements. An astounding job.
