First off, thanks for all the feedback on the WIP. I ended up adding another colour and changing the tail. Some more pictures below:

Some other details.
  • The two cylinders are used to support the thing as its skeleton can’t hold the vertical part. The tail-tip would also be vertical according to the model I built in LDD, but gravity is just not kind on things of this size.

  • It contains no articulation.

  • In order to obtain the red tubes of proper length for each segment I’ve had to cut a bunch of red 14L (45 ribs) corrugated tubes. Every red tube in this creation is essentially a broken piece.

Criticism would be very welcome!

This is both cute and scary at the same time… It’s amazing how you sticked all those tubes together so well!

Well done! Looks awesome! I can’t believe how you got so many tubes!

Overall this looks absolutely amazing. Can it be bent and hold shape or is that all dependent on swapping out different tube sizes?

Yeah, the only way to bend it is to change the skeleton, which is not hard, and replace tubes with those of different height, which is a massive pain.

That’s gotta be the slickest tube design I’ve ever seen. Works super well for a snake. The way the body flows into the head is just perfection.

Excellent work here!

Aside from the head not really looking snake like, this is an incredible moc.

This is the Bionicle equivilant of a Mongolian Death Worm.

It’s incredibly well done - such a consistent look throughout. I don’t even want to imagine how much was spent buying all those pipes! If I was to be really picky, I would probably suggest having some more definition between the head and the rest of it’s body like you’d see in a real snake, perhaps by giving it more of a jaw-line. That’s me being picky though, this is fantastic.

I love how much this looks like an early G1 Rahi. Parts usage is just so on point- takes me back. Well done!

This is the most g1 Bionicle snake I’ve ever seen. 9.3/10. Need to be able to Stand on its own

I love the combo of old technic panels and tubes, fits right in with the 2001 rahi.
Ops didn’t see this was an old topic, is that ok?

wow… this looks amazing!
