Velika, the Scroll Thief

Imgur

Velika, the youngest great being. Once an atua like Kare, he evolved to a great being only a century before The Shattering. However, he is not as creative or ingenuitive as the others, often stealing collective ideas from weaker beings as his own. Though what he lacked in creativity and ingenuity, he made up for in engineering skills. Through rough negotiations with the other great beings, Velika reluctantly agreed to aid in the construction of the Mata Nui robot. As the shattering came closer, as he predicted, he took to fleeing in the great spirit, rather than stay on what would soon be Barra Magna. After relying on Velika so much, the great beings were incapable of later successful work, and eventually left their home.

Velika’s mask is a Romau. The Mask of Clairvoyance. Which he used to aid in the theft of many plans and ideas, as well as foretell The Shattering. Just before the great spirit’s slumber, Velika was assaulted by Makuta he learned to trust. Broken and damaged, and without his mask of clairvoyance, Velika stumbled blindly into the hands of Karzhani. Where he would be rebuilt as a matoran, and given a great komau to wear.

what’s that?

I’ve noticed something, your mechanical art is not mechanical looking enough, you need harsher angles, straighter lines, it looks too organic.

Cool, I can definitively see this working for Velika.

@Asriel

@Payinku

It isn’t mechanical, it’s biomechanical.

@Stoax

Thank you :slight_smile: The planned moc will have Velika with four arms. I just don’t have enough pieces yet.

Eh, it’s too organic looking for my tastes, and those human-looking eyes. I’m also not a fan of BIONICLE characters with clothes.

Don’t you mean “aggressive negotiations?”

I can’t figure out whether it’s mechanical or organic, really.

Biomechanical characters in the BIONICLE sense are not a blend of mechanical and organic but is usually a mechanical basic mainframe followed by a few bits of organic stuffing.

Reminds me of the title “the book thief”.

Very well done

Thank you :slight_smile:

@SwagMeister

A lot of my inspiration for biomechanical art comes from Bionicle’s earliest comics. Plus I feel like drawing straight lines makes drawings less free flowing.

This looks pretty good I must say.

By the way, use BS01 if you need to link information. It’s a way better wiki.

Thank you :slight_smile:

This is actually pretty cool, for what you were trying to do.

Thank you :smile:
