Ways Makuta Can Resist Having Their Armour Manipulated.

I have been thinking of how Makuta can resist having their protosteel armor manipulated by those with power over metal like toa of iron and toa of magnetism and I wonder if anybody would agree with me.

First is Makuta using their elasticity power to be able to leave their armor intact even if it is stretch or crushed due to their elasticity.

Second is Makuta using limited invulnerability to become resistant to having their armor manipulated. Since Greg has confirmed Protosteel is resistant to disintegration based powers and limited invulnerability also grants disintegration resistance these two used to getter must make their armor very resistant to being altered since even disintegration would have a difficult time affecting it.

Last is the stasis field power. The reason I mention this is as far as we know once a stasis field surrounds a target nothing can affect the being inside of one as long as the stasis field is still around them. Greg has confirmed that Axxon’s stasis field (and probably all stasis field based powers) work by stopping motion and since motion would happen when armor is manipulate or broken then this power could theoretically also prevent somebody from manipulating Makuta armor. Makuta should be able to make a stasis field around themselves for protection like stage one stasis field kraata can. While it is the least practical of the three kraata powers I mentioned I think it can still work.

So what do you think? Do you think these defensive applications of kraata powers are possible?

I mean Makuta could resist having their armor manipulated by using nearly any of their powers, but we do know Toa of Iron were a very serious threat to them, so outside of powers like limited invulnerability outright countering any attack there’s not much we can assume would negate metal manipulation.

But then again, Makuta didn’t hunt down Toa of Gravity, who would be capable of crushing them and subsequently destroying their armor. Bionicle’s logic is weird.

Based on how you describe these methods of resistance, they all seem possible. I think that, most of the time, Makuta were probably banking on the Toa Code protecting them from having to worry about these methods, but in a universe like the Toa Empire, these would probably be in active use, forcing the non-code Toa to surprise the Makuta in order to get the advantage.

Always and forever.
