What Is the Most Expensive Lego Set You Own?

The Tower of Orthanc

I really want that…

I paid for half of it, and it was pretty much the only thing I got for my Birthday due to a deal with my parents

Sounds about right.

Didn’t pay retail for the EV3 though. The most I’ve ever paid for a set was the 2011 Super Car at $149.99.

The Tower of Orthanc at a whopping $250:

Although it’s in slight disrepair now.

So is this topic release price? or price of when you bought it?

Probably Arkham Asylum or Helm’s deep. Helm’s deep is one of my favorite Lego sets ever.

Well, regardless of how much you bought it for, an expensive set is still an expensive set!

But, I have a set that doubled in price from release to when I bought it

Oh, well…

Didn’t expect that…

I guess if it’s expensive now then it counts, but I mean I have all the Toa Mata and they go for like, what, $50 apiece now a days?

Got it
My most expensive set is Tie fighter and Y-wing, it was $80 at time of purchase

Probably the Venator-Class Star Destroyer.

The 2006 Slave 1.

It was $50 at the time of release (I think) but I got it much later after convincing my parents to spend double that on ebay. I still feel bad about it.

I still have Dengar and the Guard, but I think I lost Boba :disappointed_relieved:
