Not to mention, both were mutated into more monstrous forms in a process to force them to remain loyal to their masters after refusing to serve their current employer and during an attempt to gain more control or power for themselves and the means they tried using to help them gain more freedom, power, and/or control (Roodaka and the Mask of Control) ironically ended up being the very things which transformed them into monstrous creatures and doomed them to being minions to their masters forever. Both were specifically betrayed by one employer called Makuta who hired them to eliminate a group of beings with elemental powers who may interfere with or threaten to stop their plans in the future (the Toa Mangai and the Elemental Creatures) and deliver objects of power to them (Mask of Control and Great Disks) when they were killed by each one to achieve their own ends as well. In addition, both were known for their cunning. I actually never realized how similar both of them were until now. Plus the thing Lesnichiy mentioned, Umarak means âShadow Hunterâ and Nidhiki was a Dark Hunter, so thereâs that too.
