Hey guys, this is the second instalment to the cosmic beings, the Great Darkness!!! As you can probably see there’s not much yet but after my last exam next week I’m going to really work on it. As always any feedback is greatly appreciated, especially on this as I want to make this a moc where people have a say in what happens!
(PS: for some reason I have to wait a while after I have made a topic to actually post pictures sorry)
As opposed to @Garnira, I can actually picture the Great Darkness as the more sinister because he looks more feral and organized, somewhat like how Makuta Teridax was evil but orderly and the Rakshi were more chaotic. On to the WIP though, friggin great.I wish I could take MOCing lessons from you
I don’t know if wagging his tail would be all too evil. XD
If you want to add a gear function, I encourage you to make it one that opens skeletal wings out of his back or something in that vein.
I was thinking teethalong the lines of sharp, vicious, and unnatural. If he’s going to be the embodiment of darkness, it would seem all too appropriate if he was frightening beyond just being big and dark.
Haha yea true!
The way I have designed him now is that you can see his organs through a rib cage. As for the wings I like the idea of that and will definitely look into it!
I think you guys will be happy to know that the upper body, head and arms are complete. All that’s left to do is the legs and tail and then it will be finished!!
Might be easier creating an imgur album until the boards photo posting issues are fixed, would be easier to view the pictures that way rather than opening each one and comparing.
That said, from the designs I’m impressed. Though the thing that is nagging me is just small variations in the colour. I know it cant be helped in some occasions due to piece requirements, however if you do have the pieces I would suggest replacing the red ball pieces with the black one’s, the blue and red pins with the black ones and generally just blending them in with the design as to me they are noticeable as everything else is a very consistent colour scheme.
One step ahead of you my friend! I have already replaced the red ball pieces in the hands and mouth and swapped the blue double length pins with black. As for colour highlights I hope you will be happy with the different coloured organs beneath his rib cage. I will be posting a couple of images when I get home from college.
