A mecha inspired (question mark…?) Kaita combiner MOC; created with Guurahk, Lerahk, and Kurahk, this yet again only uses the parts from the original three sets.
The foundation of this build was the triple head design; I was struggling to create limbs that looked bulky enough for this MOC once the torso was completed (with one iteration even abandoning the bipedal look entirely, being a snake-like creature)–eventually I cobbled some parts to form a gun turret as a joke, but ended up really liking the look. So this is sorta somewhat mecha inspired, or at least became mecha inspired late into its construction.
The gun turret can be folded behind its back, has full range of motion since it’s attached via double ball joint, and the mouth area can open up to reveal Guurahk’s disintergation staffs. There is limited poseability in the legs.
I like it, but it was a little hard to tell where its head was at first. At first, I thought it was the gun turret, which confused me, since it was clearly not center-aligned. I do really like how you constructed the torso, and the way you executed the tri-color design.
The end result is pretty goofy, if this Kaita were to exist in-universe, I like to think it’d be some absurd combination of Rahkshi powers, something like: Accuracy (can leap/strike/aim with perfect precision at the smallest target from a great distance or in any environment or condition), Limited Invulnerability (absolutely invulnerable to physical harm of any kind), and Plasma (being able to fire blobs of plasma, superheat objects to absorb their energy, and instantly melt any object into vapor), with the fourth bonus power being… idunno, X-ray Vision? (something similar to the Akaku), or maybe instead it could be Self Destruct? (something similar to a Nova Blast).
The only part of this MOC that I’m pleased with is the torso, love the shaping that I accomplished. I would have preferred if I was able to make this Kaita work as a snake, but I never could get the right look for the body. I still have one WIP version of this MOC as a snake constructed–it’s pretty rough, far from what I’d consider a finished build.
The hidden staff ends inside the mouth is the icing on the cake with this one. The lack of arms is a bit unfortunate, but the shaping is once again immaculate, and the figure is equal parts menacing and eye-drawing.
