BIONICLE 2016 Discussion Topic

From what I heard from this book, its worth.

They’ve already decided the budget for next year.
It took god knows how long they made the last kindle available, I won’t wait for that to happen.

Never said it was a bad thing, just stated new parts of Ekimu we recently haven’t seen in the past year and a half of Bionicle G2.

I didn’t say that that was a bad thing, he did it for the fate of the island. Maybe it was the problem of me just saying a sentence.

Okay, so they’ve got a budget for the sets. What about promotional material? What about story outlets? Because the books are/were a great way to learn more about the story. By buying less, you tell Lego that you are not interested. If you aren’t interested, they aren’t interested. And then they go away. And with interest in supplemental material low or gone, interest in sets will very likely follow suit.

What?

I got the Graphic Novel for Kindle on the day it was released, at least for the version on computer. Bought it off of Amazon.

So Ekimu is a Mary Sue…?

You see the problem?
I don’t know how long that will be there, days, weeks or even months and then I just forgot it even exists because all the hype surrounding it has dried down.

No, I just said he’s “NOT the holy good guy of goodness” that some media portrays him as.

I dunno about you, but it appears for me. (Now if only I had money.)

Oh good, I dont want my good guys too light, I like the grey area of personalities and morality.

Yeah, I feel like everyones making him out to be a cookie cutter Sensei Wu. He’s not, and has quite a different, unheard o personality which i like. It changes things up a bit.

If my island was constantly threatened, villages were in shambles, and my brother was behind it all, I would be pissed, too. I feel Ekimu’s trying his best to remain calm, but he really has some pent-up rage that probably escapes when he fights Umarak. I like it, it makes Ekimu more unique in character.

Would anyone recommend “Escape from the underworld”?

I would. I just got mine today, and despite not being the greatest book or GN from G2 thus far, it’s a nice little story, and offers a nice amount of backstory, though not a ton…

If it isn’t the best in your opinion what is? I’m just curious

I’d have to say GN #2, which I also got today, simply because it’s chock full of so much interesting backstory, and it puts a lot of things that were previously confusing into better perspective. It and RoSS are where you can really see that Windham is trying to tie everything together, and while this is slightly true with EftU, I feel like the story as a whole wasn’t as important as RoSS, which answered the questions of LoSS’s fate and what the Protectors were up to during the second half of 2015. EftU, while fun, only contributes backstory for the Skull Villains, and is more of a side story to the main one…

GN2 was the best book, I have to agree.

As long as we don’t get IFB Bionicle style.

Think about the Toa killing off a region of “Shadow Okotans” who’s only crime is trying to follow Makuta’s good intentions.
