We all love these powerful, gaseous manipulators of everything. - Quite literally, there is a Makuta behind everything that ever happened in the Matoran Universe.
This Roleplay should focus on the Brotherhood in its earlier time, only shortly after they defected from the path of the Great Spirit. - We will involve the political power-play of the Brotherhood as one of our main themes. This RP’s timeline will be driven only by events that occurred BEFORE the Makuta announced their gaseous evolution. - So in a sense, we wont follow the canon development but we will be making our own stories for the characters involved. - To better understand this, I will be allowing only Makuta as the main characters… there IS however something else - I will explain that more throughout in the rules.
The Rules
-You can have max 3 Characters
-Your main character has to be a Makuta but your other characters can serve as antagonists in the form of a Toa or a Dark Hunter. (Note: Most Toa should be still unaware of the Brotherhood’s betrayal at this point, act upon it.)
-Your character can have only 1 additional power aside from the standard Makuta set
-No meta-gaming, always ask other players for the permission to injure or know something about their character that is not apparent. Example: It’s okey to see “Ahhh… a Toa of Water” to someone with obviously blue color-scheme and Toa-like body. - It is not okey to say something like “I sense your foul presence, Makuta - your disguise wont fool me.” to a disguised Makuta.
-Be polite. - This is pretty self-explanatory. - You have to behave nicely to everyone involved in the RP.
-For the love of Mata Nui, don’t lore-rape: Lore rape is when somebody goes strictly against the canon story: For example, a Makuta that isn’t antidermis is a lore-rape. - Just don’t… learn your lore and act upon it.
-GM has the last word. - If you get booted from the RP by a GM, don’t even think about keeping posting. - Take it to private chat with the GM. - What they say is final and that’s it.
-Basic RP knowledge is expected from everyone.
-Don’t mix IC and OOC
- Use quotation mark for speaking characters and italics for thinking characters. - Normal text is for emote. - DON’T GET THESE MIXED UP.
Character Sheet
Name: Your characters real name.
Title: What other names your character go by and so on.
Appearance: picture of detailed description
Mask: Your character’s mask. (Olmak (unless given a proper explenation) and legendary masks are forbidden.
Additional Power: You can have one additional power of your own, but it needs to be explained and given a reason.
Weaknesses: Not even Makuta are without weakness, mention one physical or mental. - It’s up to you.
Gender: Enter your character’s gender here.
Specialization: Your character’s class… Are they a scientist? a warrior? perhaps someone who is stealthy? - You get the deal.
Personality: Enter your character’s mentality here.
History: This field is optional for Makuta characters, necessary for non-Makuta.
Location
The City of Destral
Giant fortress of the Makuta kind, it radiates with darkness and is filled with the most dangerous beings in the Matoran universe. - It consists of many mansions, dungeons, laboratories and barracks… Technically a fortress.
The Many Islands of Mata Nui
The Great Spirit is filled with many islands, some of them well-known, other mysterious and unexplored. - Many secrets can hide there… secrets that can be uncovered. (Note: players can make their own islands, but there needs to be a filled sheet for it.)
Location Sheet
This will be used to make your own, custom locations. - Don’t just assume a place exists because you said so, it needs to be approved.
Terrain: What does the place look like?
Scale: (Use Kio units) How big is your land?
Landmarks: Are there any important landmarks: laboratories, mansions, cities?
Valuables: Can one find rich metals, secret knowledge or more in your zone?
