We don’t know when the wound started to bleed, so knowing that info is not gonna help us.

The only thing I could think of is potentially that he was holding the bottle casually, where he could potentially have been gripping it either way, perhaps while on the phone, but that’s a stretch and mostly conjecture, so that’s not it.
