Did Bionicle Masks Take Some Inspiration From Inuit Masks?

Hello, this is my first time asking you a question, so I apologize if I overlooked something and thank you for taking your time reading this. I just wanted to know if the way Bionicle masks were attached to the wearer was inspired by Inuit masks such as this Yup’ik Inuit mask.

I recently learned about these Yup’ik masks and that they are “worn” by being held by the wearer’s teeth. Although the function of these masks is vastly different, I thought the similarity between how the Yup’ik dancers wore them and how the Toa wore theirs was pretty cool. So, were Bionicle masks designed to be similar in that they attach to the toys by a peg to the mouth, or is this just mere coincidence?

Not to my knowledge, but I was not involved in set design. I always felt the masks attached via magnetic power, which seems pretty different from what you are describing.
