How did Barraki look before mutation?

When there were questions about the red on Pridak being blood, Greg said no, that they were ‘natural markings’. Since we’ve never seen a shark in Bionicle with those markings, we can assume they’re not from the mutation, and so, we can also assume, with some degree of certainty, that Pridak had red markings before his mutation.

Also, Ehlek’s species didn’t originally have claws, they were added by the Order of Mata Nui.

Takadox’s species can all use hypnotism, but I don’t know if that’d affect them visually.

And finally, in the Trivia section of the Unnamed Species page on BS01, it says that the Barraki are not members of any species seen up to that point, so while Kalma could be a member of Trinuma’s species, Carapar couldn’t be a member of Axon’s species.

Question, though- what’s the source for the Barraki not wearing Kanohi?

In Takadox case, I think, his race could have hump in not mutated form, still look a bit mantis-like, but more noble and imposing than their physically weak leader:

Giant spines coming out of your back would probably be regarded as an unsightly deformity. The Barraki were supposed to be Mata Nui’s pinnacles of creation, remember? His Prime Species.
