Is the Matoran Civil War Just Mata Nui Dealing With Depression?

Ok, so Metru Nui is basically Mata Nui’s “brain.” Matoran have to do stuff to make sure the “brain” functions, implying they act as chemicals in the “brain.” So if the Matoran are fighting each other/wanting to kill each other, isn’t that Mata Nui just dealing with depression?

I think you’re onto something

This is a really good analogy. While I personally doubt that that was the intention when it was written, there’s no reason it can’t be interpreted as such.

Would this make Teridax an antidepressant?

I considered that myself, but it would be an interesting contradiction to Makuta’s explicitly-intended analogy as a cancer.

Maybe Teridax is self-harm

Teridax is a brain tumor altering the chemical operation of the brain, including that which causes depressive episodes

Greg Farshetey also had cancelled plans of Tahu being a 14 year old forced to pilot Mata Nui’s robot body so he can have freewill or something.

What Greg statement are you referring to?

It was a joke.

Oh, gotcha.

(I know it’s been stated before that there were plans to to introduce a human child in Bionicle, so I thought maybe some new details on that had been found)
