In this time, Runa blasts away, leaving back to the cherry blossom field. He stops once there, grabbing his head. “No.” He mutters. “You need to stop.” He then surrounds himself with energy before it disperses, returning him to normal. As such happens, he collapses where he is, obviously not waking up any time soon.
Seeing as how the bolt was fired from directly underneath him, and so he probably wouldn’t have noticed, and it was a very short distance for it to travel, it might have still hit. If it did, searing pain would shoot through Unexpected, although no physical damage would be there. As well, it would dull his senses and lower his reaction time.
A figure could be seen in the trees, aiming what seemed to be a small crossbow.
Based on Runa’s usual speed, and the fact that these elite drones have not been said to have such great speeds, it is likely that Runa had lost his quickly.
The figure stands up and aims the crossbow at him.
If and when they do get there, they would be unable to find the glowing green figure with wispy red eyes that had attacked them earlier, as Runa had changed back into his original form.
Runa stirred. He fidgeted in the field of tall grass, laying on his back, still unconscious.
