Lego Overwatch Discussion/Speculation Topic

I haven’t checked, but I can’t imagine why the instructions wouldn’t have been saved/archived.

That’s too bad. I would have loved seeing Exo-Force sets built in the style of this robot.

The LEGO Overwatch theme seems to have come out at such a random time, when the IP was mostly irrelevant and nobody was playing the game. If I were in LEGO’s shoes, I would have released the theme all the way back in 2016 when the game first launched, or waited until the launch of Overwatch 2 to coincide the sets with the relaunch of the game. No wonder the sets warmed the shelves and the theme ended so quickly.

I agree. I remember reading people talking about how it was a sign of the game’s lack of popularity that had led it to give LEGO permission to make sets, though I think that might not have been the common opinion at the time. It reminds me of how when Fortnite started losing sales, they made a whole line of Nerf guns, thus getting a new group of people involved.
