Nilaya, The Toa from Karzahni (Color Distribution and Minor Build Changes)

While she hasn’t changed too much, I figured I might as well post the edits I made, since there are more painted parts now (yeah, this is the purist’s bane at this point). I have swapped around some shell parts and completely redid the ankle supports (since they looked sort of bootleg in the first version). The mask has also been given some extra black highlights.

Also, I’m aware of the repetition in the torso and while I will use it less frequently, I do not plan to change it for this MOC in particular. Especially after what I did to that Nuva torso piece :stuck_out_tongue:

Also, I do have a bit more of a story for her now. This hasn’t been completely solidified yet, but I do plan on her past involving her spending most of her life as a labor slave on the island of Karzahni. I don’t want to give away too much because that would spoil some things in an RP she’s a character in. And just to clarify something, she’s a cross of fire and shadow, having limited control of both.

Her knees are a bit limited, but she can pull off some decent poses.

I gave her a miniature crossbow (inspired by video games such as Assassin’s Creed)

This is her when summoning Drahkne (which is a MOC WIP I plan on posting soon, likely in a couple of days)

While I doubt you can see it, one of the two crystals has been scratched to give it a cracked appearance.

Constructive criticism is welcome. Also, I’d like to apologize for the photo quality in the last topic, my desk was an absolute mess and I was rushing a bit. Hopefully these pictures are a bit easier to make out.

I hope you all enjoy this MOC despite her generic-ness in build. I’m still happy with the end result.

So she’s a stand user?

The custom work is nice, the lower legs feel off though.

I agree somewhat. Is it the back armor or the shell used on front?

The shell, it feels too flat, try adding something to it.

Nice use of the dragon head.

I will try if I can find some system bits to use. Add-ons would be too bulky, so I’ll try something more like a T-Bar part.

I always really liked the mask. I never see it used to much so this was really nice!

Yeah, I’ve had it for a while and always wanted a chance to use it. There was a little too much red, so I gave it some minor black highlights.

This MOC is the best I’ve seen from you. That color scheme is quite striking. Only issue I can find is the transition between the stomach and waist armor. Keep up the good work.

That’s something I’ve been looking for a way to fix, and thanks!

Much better.

Pretty good! I like the color scheme. Also, still great for a regular CCBS build.

Really cool, I especially like what you did with the axe

She looks very boss. Love the bardiche, dragon skull and the custom paint job. I’m looking forward to some (eventual) in-character interactions with her.

All in all you done a real swell job, Joe!

Pretty nice. The back irks me but from the front she’s solid.

Also, the axe. 10/10 on the color job.

I still haven’t found a good solution.

But thanks!

Good use of the broken down look of Karzahni while still remaining cohesive.
