Okotan Adventures: Spider Saga

Tarkur and Era took of in the opposite direction towards the mountains where the region and earth and stone meets.

Streke sighed. He nudged his gukko in a much more gentle fashion, and it took off after Athena.

Ghabix was slowly returning to his house, smiling. The local doctor of the village just took off his gypsum. He was extremely happy. Now he could use his both hands again. A lot of other spots of his body were still in pain, but at least he got a little bit closer to fully healing.

@Ghid Ekimu considers his words for a moment. “Many masks have simply been lost to the flow of time. We shall see what can be done.”

The older Okotan nods with his best attempt at stoicism.

“If you see Vizuna, make sure he’s alright, okay?” the younger one says. With one last wave, the two vanish off into the jungle.

A conspicuous building sits atop an outcropping of rock near the center of the city. People move this way and that around him, and the dull roar of a marketplace can be faintly heard in the distance.

The spiders back away from her blade, but remain near Ilza.

“Excellent,” He replied.

Ghabix closed the fragile door made out of old, dry wood of his “garden” (which was, in reality, just a patch of sand around his hut surrounded by a wooden fence, with some old stuffs here and there). He entered his hut and looked around at his only room. His bed seemed to be the nicest thing he owned. It had a pillow and a dusty blanket. It had a whole in the wall that was meant to work as a window. Instead of a carpet, the hut only had the sand it was built on. Next to the door frame there was one chest, in which Ghabix mostly kept his fruit and the little amount of money he had. Hung up on a wall there was a shot gun and a sword, both damaged, dusty, and a even a little rusty.
Normally, Ghabix would sigh at the view of his home, but not this time. He was too happy to have his arm back.

Vra’axinni nods. “I will.” He says, turning to go deeper into the forest.

Seeing that they were good to go, Rena abalanced her backpack, locked the door of her villa, put the key in a side pocket of the backpack, and left the garden heading to the city gates, expecting Blaze and Dakron to follow.

Athena continued flying her Gukko high in the clouds towards the City of Mask Maker. Unless Streke would take altitude, he might loose her.
@meepinater

Dakron hesitated for a moment, listening, before following her warily.

Streke climbed higher as well.

He could head Rena’s steps nice and clear.

He would soon find himself in the clouds.

Dakron followed Rena.

Streke took a deep breath, as he guided his Gukko after Athena.

Seeing that Athena was at quite the distance in front of him, he would start having problems seeing her.

Streke spurred his Gukko, flying closer to what he thought was Athena.
“Hey, wait up!” He called.

Athena didn’t responded, as her form was slowly fading in the clouds, taking altitude. She was either not listening him, either not caring.

Streke’s Gukko flapped harder, trying to catch up.
“Wait up, I said!” Streke yelled, a hint of anger entering his voice.

By the time the Gukko could catch up, Athena was gone. Last time Streke saw was her taking altitude as her silhouette was slowly dissipating into the clouds.

Streke sighed and continued towards the City of the Mask Makers.

It would not be a good idea to continue the mission without Athena, she being the only one who knew how Azure was looking like.

He’s still going where both of them need to go.
Just not with Athena, for the time.

…which would also be a good idea because if they separate he might not find her anymore.
