Hey, I just saw that yesterday! They’re selling them as ‘production samples’ but it’s so obvious that they’re just Mocs. It becomes more apparent if you take a look at their other Bionicle listing.

What surprises me more is that somehow two have been sold.
From the same seller I found a sale for some weird looking gundam too.
Though being seriose though I love that they patented the moc. You know I’ve decided something. no one is allowed to use this peice without my permission now; It’s mine and only mine.

I’ve never heard of anyone having a patent for a design that uses official LEGO pieces. Technically, LEGO could pull the patent card on them.

I highly doubt they could even get that patent even if they tried. Probably just flavor text.

Yep. I know patents are discount copyright but I don’t think they’re so loose to allow to patent a custom anything.
