A large shield would blast through the light, blocking the fireballs. Behind it stood a great suit of armor, holding a whip of what looked like human bone and a blade on its back, under its cloak. On its shoulders was nothing but an ethereal fire, and the whole of the body looked dark and foreboding.
Arkan smiled under his mask. This was one of the most powerful Fay he had encountered in his travels to other realms. Actually, not only one of the most powerful Fay, but one of the most powerful creatures other than those like gods heâd ever met anywhere, in any existential plane.
The Dullahan whipped the spine at the Magicianâs eyes, attempting to blind him.
The Magician already had a missing eye, and he wasnât about to lose his left one either. He dashed to the side, leaving an afterimage to confuse and temporarily the Dullahan.
The Magician appeared behind him, throwing several fireballs from behind.

âThat should keep him occupied for now.â Hydronicus said as he took cover.
âNow how are we going to defeat him?â He asked the others.
Raphael thought for a moment.
âHe was, when he was one being. But now the Magicianâs spirit inhabits a human body, and that body inhabits the physical plane. So Iâm unsure.â
âCould we attempt to send him to another plane then? Maybe if I can get enough time, we could even find a spell to send him to the metaphysical plane between planes? Or parts of him to different ones?â
