Salvation: Part II

He shoves the cannon barrel into the Berserker’s gnashing maw.

“Maybe this’ll shut you up!”
He said, trying to find some sort of external firing mechanism.

The insecticon warriors were a pleasant sight, but Starchaser stayed close to the salvation, keeping constant watch for Anthropa. Intent on keeping her covered as soon as she left the Salvation.

Unfortunately, there was none, but the impact is enough to knock the Berserker unconscious.

From one of the hangar bays comes a dark cloud of purples, greens, and blacks- a mob of insecticons flying out to join the battle, lead by their queen, Arthropoda. She had transformed into a creature with a long, segmented body with two pairs of thin wings that held her aloft with plasma membranes. The dragonfly-esque queen dives downward, and the hive disperses around Salvation.

“I’ll say,” Thrift remarks, before the buzzing of the arriving insecticons catches his attention.

“What is that… holy mother of Primus! I had no idea we had so many bugs on the ship!”

All of the machinery in the room was destroyed. There was no pedestal to insert the Blue Key into, but there were the remains of two terminals on either side of the chamber.

“I’ll do what I can,” Garand says, "but I’m just as in the dark here as you are, I’m afraid.

“Negative,” Motherboard replies. “You are simply too far away for Salvation’s scanners to pinpoint your exact location.”

The three brothers look up.
“Looks like we have a bit of a bug problem.” Thrust chuckled. [quote=“Chromeharpoon, post:7632, topic:49995”]

SideStep walked over to one of the terminals to get a closer look.

“Worthless piece of scrap.”
He grumbled, tossing the gun aside and stomping the Berserker’s head in.

“Whoo-hoo! Now we’re talking!”
Starchaser cheered. Click too chirped and sang with elated excitement.

The decepticon flyer came in close to to the insecticon queen. Keeping a watch for any approaching enemies from above.

King-Quan sighed. “Great.” He said. “Pray to Primus that I live this through.” He told her before he stood up and before that, he took his surroundings and cautiously walked, in the search of a pannel that he could sue.

“Right,” Scorchlock said as he. . .

. . . found a terminal on either side of the chamber and walked towards the other one which was not being used.

“No, I’d say Bludgeon does now,” Thrift says as Arthropoda transforms to her lumbering robot mode. The cannon on her left arm whines as the insecticon queen raises it at a dropship. The gun hisses as it discharges a lance of plasma that shoots straight through the craft, igniting its engines and producing a bright explosion.

“…She is on our side, right?” Thrift, a bit taken aback asks, turning to look around at the Splitter brothers.

Arthropoda lumbers about the battlefield, stomping on heavy troopers and blasting dropships out of the sky with her cannon. The New Decepticon forces are momentarily thrown for a loop with the arrival of her and her hive.

The insecticon queen unhinges her mandibles and emits a piercing war cry that travels across the gorge.

“Great,” Brakeswitch groans. “That’s two I owe you, I suppose.”

Both terminals were, like everything else in the room, inoperable, ripped apart with extreme prejudice.

There was a console near the door.

Scorchlock let a roar of frustration as he took his katana and turned it around and impaled the terminal. It was in a fit of rage, not really thinking it through, as he was quite frustrated.

Once King-Quan spotted it, he cautiously walked towards the console and glanced at it. He then began to search rooms, the main bridge where Bludgeon was on.

Starchaser is rattled for a moment by the sound, but quickly regains stability.

“Sweet Solus Prime. Maybe she doesn’t need as much protection as I thought.”
Starchaser commented to herslef, very impressed by her abilities. Never the less she kept watch of the skies. The enemy may be on the back foot now, but they could always have something bigger tucked up their proverbial sleeve.

Treadquake says nothing and turns to leave, but stumbles as soon as he steps on his injured leg. He grunts in pain and looks at Breakswitch.

“What do you know about fixing legs?”
He asked bluntly.

“I hope so.” The three brothers all echo. [quote=“Chromeharpoon, post:7636, topic:49995”]

“Great.” SideStep groaned, placing the Key on top of the pedestal.
“This place is totally trashed, how are we gonna get anything done?”

Indeed, many of the New Decepticons begin to target Arthropoda. Two Heavy Air Troopers in their bomber forms fly forth from a warship’s hangar, escorted by six regular Air Troopers.

“Practically nothing,” Breakswitch deadpans. “I’m a navigator, not a doctor.”

“Yeah, me too,” Thrift sighs.

King-Quan could find a map of the whole ship on the terminal.

Vigor glances at the fleet of Heretic ships.
“Let’s do some damage to one of those babies, eh?” He suggests.
Thrust and Lightshift nod, transforming into jet mode and taking off towards one of the Heretic ships.

The Wrecker sighed as he took his Katana out and sheathed back on. He turned around and walked towards SideStep. “Yeah, as much as I admit…” He said. “I don#t know what to do.” He mentioned. “The Holy Saints over there didn’t tell us what to do either.” He states. “Any ideas really?” He asked.

Once King-Quan found the map, he memorized it before he searched for the least amount of heavily secured path towards the bridge. After that, King-Quan cautiously made his way towards the Bridge, trying not to get spotted at the best of his abilities.

Starchaser quickly shot off in their direction, reaching the bombers in little time. She transformed to robot mode, stabilizing herself in the air. She looked the two heavy air troopers over for any points of weakness.

“Do you know where I could find a doctor?”
He askes. Sounding noticeably irritated.

SideStep shook his head.
“None. Zip. Nada.” He frowned at the Blue Key.
“What about that cybermatter stuff, though?”

“Wait for mEeEeE!” Thrift pleads as he assumes his VTOL form and takes off after them.

Nearby was the Death’s Head, Lockdown’s own starship. It waits in the shadow of an attack cruiser as the bounty hunter himself readied his weapons.

The bombers had no weapons in vehicle mode, aside from the payloads in their undersides.

No doubt that was what the escort was for. One of the six breaks off to engage Starchaser, rising up to meet her as he fires his plasma blasters.

“Forcep’s by Shockwave and Ms. Personality,” Brakeswitch says, using Broadband’s nickname for Motherboard.

King-Quan was a long way from the bridge, though fortunately his infiltration hadn’t been noticed. However, there was always the chance that a wandering patrol might take sight of him.

“Alright, alright!” Vigor grumbled.
“Let’s take out that one.” Thrust said, directing his flight at the Death’s Head.

“The cybermatter…” Scorchlock glanced at the key. “You think, it can be used for something?” He asked.

He knew he had a long way until he reached the bridge, which is why he was taking cautious steps. Hiding around the corners and making sure he’d listen to the sounds if there was any patrol that was patrolling the hallways. Once he made sure he was safe, he would continue to discreetly make his way towards the bridge.

He had one shot at this, he couldn’t afford to screw this up. If all went well, he could killed Bludgeon right then and there, however, everything needed to be in the plan. And so, he was taking extra care to not get spotted.

In her robot mode her agility was unmatched. However, her weapons were as good as disabled. Seeing as she needed to use her hands and arms for population and direction, trying to aim anything would have been pointless.

She evaded the fire with ease and grace, flying around to behind the bombers, trying to get a look at their proplultion systems.

Treadquake transformed into his half-track war plow mode. The engine giving a low rugged growl.

“Lead the way.”
He said. Stated much more like a command than a request.

“It could repair this place, maybe.”

“Then it’s worth the shot.” Scorchlock said calmly as he gestured with his hand.
