A while ago I was feeling sortof nostalgic about G1 so I drew a quick little Tahu Mata.
I might do the rest of the '01 Toa eventually, too.

Perhaps the flame could be going over the front of his hand, maybe with lowered opacity?

The flame was a bit of a last minute thing, his hand just looked odd there so I put it there.

Yeah, when I drew this it was 3:00 AM and my Tahu was in my brother’s room so I didn’t have any reference.

Toa are cool 'n all but you know what really catches the eye? Ko-Matoran. Especially the handsome ones who are ice carvers and chroniclers on the side.
