The figures each vanished in a flash of light
Everyone shielded their eyes from the bright flash of light.
When it faded, Michael turned to the others.

“We must continue on our journey.” Michael said.
“Your journey contains a violence I am unable to support…” Leonardo pauses “I sense the Dark Lord’s…”
“We mustn’t waste any more time.” Micharl said as his wings unfurled.
“Surius, can you scan the environment for any other surviving Xir’algath nearby?” He asked.

Surius nods and does so.
At first, it seemed that the landscape was comes barren.
But then, there was a sudden blip that indicated a Xir’algath life signature.
Surius shifted both arms into laser blasters and walked towards it.
The shape suddenly shifted and lept right at Surius.
Surius leaped to the side and fired a full onslaught of powerful laser blasts at the shape.
The Xir’algath was struck by the blasts but dodged a few. He started at Surius, tripping slightly as his body was still reforming.

Surius kept firing, while making sure to keep his distance from the Xir’algath.
They would likely scrape his armor, but Surius would not let up on his assault.
The Xir’algath formed his hand into a blade and slashed down on Surius’ forearm.
Kyran nodded.
“The universe will not save itself.” He agreed.
Kyran swiftly dodged and unleashed a blast of wind at the alien, powerful enough to blow the Xir’algath away.
Surius’ arm shifts into a blade as well and parries the blow, as he fired point-blank at the joint of said arm.
The Xir’algath’s arm was removed, and it fell dead.

Kyran ran after Michael.
