Clawshot froze. Surprised by the fact that someone actually noticed him. Panicked he ran off into a hole in the wall. Spirit could hear a lot of minicon warbling. It sounded like some sort of back and forth between two individuals. A metallic smack, and then suddenly a different minicon was thrown out of the hole. This time it was Ramjet.
She gasped and gave almost gleeful squeal of joy, âMy goodness! A little jet! You look all nice put together! Just an adorable faceplate too!â She took a step down and leaned down speaking in minicon, âWhatâs your name little guy?â
Ramjet took a step back. Intimidated by all the attention he was receiving from someone so tall.
âR-Ramjet.â
He sputtered through a normally incomprehensible series of beeps and bips.
âAw, thatâs a nice nameâŚyou alright there?â
âUh⌠No. I-Iâm just not used to this kind of⌠Attention. Wait a minute, can you understand me?â
Ramjet sputtered. Quite surprised.
Spirit nodded, âWhy yes, Iâm fluent. Pre-war skill I needed back in my old job. So what happened to your little friend there? He just ran off and pushed you out?â
Backbreaker hadnât left the med-bay, and he speaks again.
âWe need some guys who can spy on Iota,â he says. âFind out what this âtournamentâ scrap is really about. Could also use some information on whatâs outside the arena- defenses and such. Weâre planning another breakout.â
âBwoo-wa-trill-vwoop?â Oddball asks the gladiator.
âDidnât you just say that?â
Ramjet was hesitant for a moment before he spoke again.
âClawshot doesnât really like bigger bots⌠A lot of the minicons around here donât. He pushed me out I can handle them better than he can.â
âI must admit youâre quite literateâŚthe ones I used to work with didnât talk as much as you have. Itâs quite nice.â
âThereâs probably a good reason for thatâŚâ
Ramjet said, scratching the back of his head nervously.
âDo you actually know what decepticons did to us back in the war?â
He asked. Suspicious of how cheerful a decepticon was towards minicons.
She paused, âYeeees,â She said hesitantly, âYou were used as power sources for weapon experimentation.â
âHm. Doesnât sound like much when you put it like that.â
Ramjet said in a rather dower tone.
âCaptured, enslaved, tortured, experimented on. Used as power ups and living weapons. Iâve known minicons who got their mind wiped in the bonding surgery. Thatâs probably why the ones you knew werenât all that talkative. Luckily I got paired with a good partner. Tidalwave and I used to be really closeâŚâ
Ramjet went quiet as old memories were pulled to the surface. He didnât say anything else.
Railgun taps his right foot as he thought this over. Normally this isnât something they would do, it would be too dangerous. Iotaâs place was likely heavily defended or difficult to get to, even for them. Getting towards the outside was a whole lot easier to do, that part would not be a problemâŚAlthough, Iota would be quite distracted at the moment, based on how he was talking today. Perhaps they could get through after all.
And then some.
Railgun replies with the tablet, âWe can do that, but would need to do so now while heâs distracted.â
Backbreaker and Oddball nod their heads in unison.
Spiritâs face visibly dimmed, âI see. You werenât exactlyâŚa common sight in my corner of the war,â She sighed, âMy experience of minicon partners is pre-war. I never had one during it.â
âYeah, that explains a lot.â
Ramjet said.
âBut thatâs why we hide. We keep to ourselves. Always taking and never asking. Because outside of some rare exceptions, weâre nothing but tools to bigger bots like you.â
She paused, âWell, that makes some sense. Although on a lighter note taking from organic bots who had nothing to do with the war is probably a bad idea,â she tried to give a light mechanical chuckle, âBut I wouldnât mind helping you out a little bit if you need itâŚâ
OOC: Hold on. What?
OOC: Weâve got bots from the Beast Wars and bots from the WarâŚalong with bots from different continuities altogether.
OOC: This all takes places in my own continuity. A universe of my creation that I call New Horizons. (I came up with the name looong before the Animal Crossing game) Itâs mostly the G1/Beast Wars continuity, but heavily modified with bits and pieces from other series, as well as my own personal additions.
